A big thanks from Jeevesie (agian!)

That sounds great, Commoner. The Wycombe Wanderers Foundation have also done good work on mental health issues concerning men. I am still a Trustee of the Foundation and will see if they can assist - I hope so, it’s close to all of us.

Absolutely love the Bodger’s Bench idea and would absolutely spend some time on it throughout the season

Might have to change your username to frequentsitter in that case.

In all seriousness it’s a great idea and I’d definitely go there too.

Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. Work has been busy in the lead up to Christmas.

This is fantastic news from the club. Matt Cecil had mentioned it to me at the time. I believe it was the idea of Twizz, but everyone has got behind it which is terrific.

I’ll be on-air with Sam at the Cardiff match. I’m really looking forward to being back at Adams Park. It really has become my ‘happy place’ - Much love - Jeevesie :blue_heart:

Great job on co-comms @Jeevesie with Sam today. Couldn’t get to AP today as travelling to Bolton next week so had to make do with Wanderers TV!

Well said @Jeevesie , for me win, lose or draw football is a great lift. I’m lucky in that I have not suffered any serious mental health issues but like a lot of us, have known many people who have struggled with life and in a few cases lost that struggle. Anything the club can do to alleviate that is to be applauded.

You’re absolutely right. It is a special club. The friends of a friend I met on the terraces of Loakes Park in the mid 80s became lifelong friends with whom I travelled home and away to watch the Blues for nearly two decades. Footy and music and à liking for proper ale (not lager) took us up and down the country in search of points and decent away day pubs. Sharing promotions and Wembley finals and even relegations is what any club should be about. No one should experience those things alone- WWFC for me has been enjoyed and at times endured but for sure it’s provided some great memories and lifelong friends.

I think the forum & social media can also do a lot to connect people with meeting up at the ‘bench’ just one place to meet before a beer, the game another beer :beer_mug: whether to support anyone going thru à tough time or those who’d just like to meet fellow fans. It’s sometimes a crazy ride supporting Wycombe - I mean who would have wanted to travel back from Bolton on their own?
