Academy News

I think that next season will see a few of our academy lads break into the first team. The academy set up is still pretty new and I see greater integration as we move forward.

Cameron Stones is a left winger / wing-back.

Of course he is. Silly me.

Silly me doubled. It was @Bayo not I who described him as a striker but then so did the football club when he signed his first professional contract.

Check out this post from Wycombe Wanderers

Seem to have run out of paste!

Looks like a No 9 to me

Here we go.

Cameron is an explosive winger who plays straight and fast. He uses pace to open space and a direct dribble to challenge defenders. He’s a natural goal threat with an eye for goal, combining strength and technique in forward bursts.

Look at the dates. I think you’ll find my clip supersedes the piece you’ve removed and quoted.

Who cares. He scores goals on a regular basis.

The point was to address @Bayo’s question why he’s not been on the bench. There are probably a number of reasons but the fundamental one is he’s not a striker.

And also Sammy Bell would have kept him out of course as a goal scoring left winger. Luke Harris not so much so.

I’m really beginning to regret the media team having misled me into thinking he is a striker.

I thought he was a striker as well.

I would suggest it’s better to have a winger who scores goals than a centre forward who can’t hit a barn door!

If only Mehmessi, the swine, hadn’t jumped ship we might at least have kept Sammy Bell until the end of the season.

I still think we will get Sam back in the summer. He will be out of contract at the end of this season and he still isn’t getting a regular game for Bristol City.

Indeed, he was in the team that was thrashed 5-0 recently.

I’ve watched him quite a few times this season and he’s led the line on each occasion

He’s a no.9

He’s played for Wycombe’s first team as a No 9. He looks nothing other than a centre forward.
