ages ago, Ive added Wycombe’s youth team fixtures on the Wikipedia Page. at least now with the Website has the fixtures fully makes my job a bit easier

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could go along and watch these games.

I am assuming it will be a full Academy side at Penn, that was clearly intended by our early entry, and I can’t see Mike Duff changing that.

We also get to see them in the FA Youth Cup when we enter in the First Round, which will be played in the last two weeks of October. If we get a home draw, it will be at Adams Park.

The Academy beat Newport 4-0 at home on Saturday.

According to that we have no fixture on Saturday, and our website has no fixture listed until 25 October, but I have seen on another site that we are at home to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

I note that the Penn match is listed under the Firsts’ fixtures, and not the Academy, but I’m not reading too much into that.

I think that’s because it is a “Senior” competition but the EFL clubs have agreed that they will be using the competition for their youth players. I was once on the line for an MK Dons game in the competition and the question was asked there (as the opposition was disappointed there were no first team names on the team sheet).

If an EFL club wanted a first team member to play, they need written permission from the B&B FA. Another thing is that all EFL (& Conference) teams will always be avoided from being drawn to play each other and these teams will be the away team. This is to help the smaller teams in the competition with gate receipts & money that they will generate from that fixture.

The only time that EFL will be drawn together is from the Semi-finals

The weekly EFL newsletter confirms that we had no fixture last Saturday, only two matches took place nationwide, and no fixture this Saturday either. wwfc.com shows the next fixture is 25 October, away to Exeter. What happens in this extended break is anyone’s guess, apart from tonight at Penn.

Thanks for that @niebieski, I know I’m biased but Micah’s really is the best. He’s only got 9 votes so far, the MK lad is leading on 178.

Interesting to see footage of a league game at Harlington for the first time, and to see other training grounds and the quality of their pitches.

By vote would go to goal E, the overhead bicycle kick

The Academy are away to Swindon Town on Saturday at 11:00, in the Youth Cup South. We won 2-0 there in the League in August.

Edit - to be clear this is the Alliance Youth Cup. We enter the FA Youth Cup in the 1st Round, matches to be completed by Saturday 1st November. Not sure when the draw is, there are a handful of 3QR matches to be completed.

Is it possible to attend the Swindon game?

@Mandown , the newsletter doesn’t show the venue, some other matches do, but it’s probably going to be at Swindon’s training ground and clubs do not normally give access to the public.

Reading v Bracknell

Great draw for Bracknell that.

Nice it’s not just the senior side that gets dull cup draws!

Yesterday the Academy beat Swindon Town 1-0 in the league at Beversbrook, with a 56’ goal. Goalscorer unknown.

Must be doing really well in that league now Steve? These early achievements are a real credit to the way the club have constructed the first phase of the academy project.

@Blue_since_1990 looking at the today’s newsletter, the win at Swindon was in the cup. We are now in quarter finals.

Latest league table.

This Saturday the Academy are away to Exeter City in the league at 11:00.

That’s the cup that Wycombe won in the early 2010s with Josh, Anthony Stewart, Charles Dunne and Matty Ingram in the team, right? Under Dobbo’s leadership. What a guy.
