It wasn’t the NHS.

Maybe not in Gareth’s case but I’d wager many if not most of us on here have had check ups and/or procedures on the NHS. And we’re very lucky to be able to have that kind of free at point of use service.

We are in general yes.Problem is it’s lacking in many areas due to not being able to cope. You couldn’t get a more morally sound health service but it unfortunately it has it’s limitations. My brother lives in Tokyo and their health service is far superior as one example.

Soundbites suggest he’s already looking forward to getting back involved, so hopefully he’s fit and well enough to do just that asap.

It went much better than expected, Dr’s were very pleased, so let’s hope he’s back up and about as soon as possible.

Just the issue of ongoing stress after surgery. Management isn’t known for its relaxed pace.

But knowing the type of person Gaz is, he’s prob more stressed at home worrying about his players and club!

Now back in the dugout.

Facing Wycombe Wanderers in the Vertu Trophy on Tuesday…

It’s a special club, and I am really hoping that we can progress in the tournament. I have got players like Travis Akomeah, Lenni Cirino and Marcus Wyllie that didn’t travel today - as well as Armani [Little], Jonny Williams and Conor Masterson. There is Euan Williams, who has been out for so long that he is going to be like a new signing. These are players that I want to get games and minutes into. I want to see them coming through and joining what is a fantastic squad. We want to try to progress in this tournament.

It will be really special for me to be against Wycombe. It always will be. You cannot take that away from me. I have never been back to Adams Park yet, but to have them at our place, and I know that it is the trophy which is not as well supported as league and cup games, but I am still going to enjoy that one.“

Not quite true @PBo He was definitely here as a pundit for Sky sports against Peterborough. I think that was the Kone game where Kone came on as a sub and scored three goals? :man_shrugging:

That’s great news he’s back at work, though the article does seem to state he’s not in the dugout yet but restricted to the gantry/stand. Doctors orders I suspect.

Nice to see him putting one over Rovers too, let’s hope his luck runs out on Tuesday night.

If you look at his interview after the Rovers game he is still wearing his shirt unbuttoned at the top, showing off his big scar from the open heart surgery. What a guy, you can’t fail to love him!

I’m already openly weeping

Surely Ainsworth means back here with a team. He’s been here a few times generally since.
