Just a quick note wishing you all well ahead of the new season. Roll with the punches, enjoy the matches, and above all, remember we are all on the same side.
As ever, I’d like to thank everyone for their continued support. Adams Park remains very much my ‘happy place’. I’m looking forward to describing the matches alongside Sam and Charlie whenever the opportunity arises.
It remains very much at the forefront of my mind that when I needed help, Wycombe Wanderers, the people behind the scenes, the fans, the club, reached out to me. Don’t be backward in coming forward if you need similar support. I’m always happy to listen, talk, and help as best I can.
In the meantime, make the most of what is left of this wonderful weather, embrace the coming season, and enjoy the matches as well as the company of those watching and supporting with you.
Enjoyed hearing you give us your experience of Matt Macey on the commentary the other day - feel for the fella as, like you said, he could well have been challenging for the number 1 shirt.
Matt was decent for Colchester. Hopefully, he can recover to full fitness because he’ll be an asset to Wycombe. That said, I thought Conor Hazard did well on Saturday. Plenty to be positive about ahead of Friday’s game with Stevenage. Hope to see you there. Jeevesie
Good to know you’ll be back commentating for us next season.
As someone who left Wycombe at 22 ‘to earn my fortune’ in London, I’ve somehow ended up in Essex myself so it’s lovely to hear your Essex tones and not hear absolutely anything about West Ham!!
If you see someone with a black & white faced whippet in Harrow Lodge park - that’s me
Oh and if you’ve not had a Chicken Shish kebab from the Hornchurch Charcoal Grill on Station Road - you haven’t lived l. It’s worth the 45 minute wait on a Friday night and a cheeky pint in the Railway opposite while you wait!
