Thanks @LDF and @NewburyWanderer . A fine game to attend and an interesting journey home by train. Tables and updates later on Sunday.

Top Twenty for the Total Crowd: [6758]

Many congrautlations to @Commoner who was closest of the very many close predictions. Forecaster of the Week with a single figure miss of just five persons. Chapeau I believe is an appropriate word.

Special congratulations too for the other three forecasters who also had single figure misses, namely @micra , @our_frank and @SmiroludyBlue. I asked AI for an appropriate suggestion and it came up with Mini Boîte Chapeau, which seems quite appropriate with the circumflex in the spelling.

For this game there were thirteen others within our standard praiseworthy group - those predicting within one hundred of the actual attendance. Sincere congratulations to all of the following: @Robin; @MFHBlue; @DevC; @MindlessDrugHoover; @FromeBlue; @Forestblue and myself were all within fifty, @LDF; @williwycombe; @Alexo ; @glasstotallyfull; @thecatwwfc and @Ashmeadowings were all between fifty and one hundred. It can be assumed that this lot will certainly have an impact on scores on the Leaderboard, even if it does not impact placings to any great degree.

Top Twenty for the Fantastic Away Fan numbers: [838]

Many congratulations to @NewburyWanderer who was closest to the number who went home feeling simultaneously very happy and very blue. A fine prediction on an occasion when there didn’t seem to be any indication that we would be quite close to selling out the away end.
Congratulations to @Ashmeadowings; @Mandown; @BSE; @Alexo and @MindlessDrugHoover who were all within the 5% standard -[41.8].

Top Twenty for the Home Crowd: [Calculated 5920]

Wow! Many congratulations indeed to @wwfcblue for a truly remarkable spot on implied prediction for the size of the load of Cobblers, young and old. Talking hats, as well as shoes, I reckon the word for the top and bottom of ithe respect due for this prediction is either - Sombreo! or whatever a light and dark blue object of joy with bells on it is called.

Congratulations to @MindlessDrugHoover who was within ten.

Congratulations to @bookertease; @Twizz; @Glenactico; @williwycombe; @thecatwwfc; @Alexo; @our_frank; @Erroll_Sims; @micra; @LDF; @glasstotallyfull and @SmiroludyBlue who were all within one hundred.

Our Collective Performance:

Thanks to everyone who predicted or has read this far, there were 36 predictions this week….

We were a toucn over 10% out when we collectively underestimated the number of Wycombe fans, the total crowd was pretty close, with an underestimate near to my congratulations boundary. Our collective estimate of the home crowd was very close - an underestimate of only 14. Good work all round.

Onwards and Upwards:

I should get the Tour de Season outcomes done soon. Please watch out for the Posh attendance thread and give it a go. From our ticket webiste it does look as though the idea of a singing section in Blocks T has taken off and Block R looks to be popular too.

@railwaysteve Just a small detail, the BBC and NTFC website are both showing 6,756, although GasMan and WWFC website are showing 6,758. Looks like it might affect positions at the top of the table if you go by the BBC figure, so I thought I’d let you know.

I reckon VAR is going to have to be used. I have just checked and the BBC does say 6756 and I did write that that I would use the BBC as the ultimate authority.

Apologies to all, especially to @Commoner, @SmiroludyBlue, @micra and @our_frank who will have slightly altered scores and different positions at the top of the table. I reckon the best way to look at it will be everyone gets to keep their hats and it looks like @micra will get a second one to wear too.

I will fix it tomorrow and use numbers based on 6756 for the ‘Tour de Season’ scores.

Revised Top Twenty for the Total Crowd: [6756]

Thanks @NewburyWanderer, the VAR - chorus of boos accepted and sincere apologies given - has declared that there was a clear and obvious error and the ‘official’ BBC figure for the total attendance on Satuday was 6756b and not 6758.

In the revised table everyone’s score will have changed by two, whether it has increased by two or reduced by two depends upon whether the prediction was an underestimate or overestimate. Most people’s positions in this table remain the same but there are some really notable exceptions at the top of this table as @NewburyWanderer pointed out and I am really sorry for these.

@Commonner still has a remarkably good score, but drops to second equal place. As regards credit to individuals, in my view everyone deserves the credit and congratulations given already. I thought it was a difficult week to predict and a number of forecasts were very close. @SmiroludyBlue deserves to keep a Mini Boîte Chapeau for a her revised prediction. If you google it you can decide if you approve the designer who was the inventor of the phrase.

@micra does indeed also now deserve many congratulations for the closest forecast of the week and so Chapeau! to you too @micra .

I will use the revised igures for the Tour de Season updates which I hope to do soon.
