  • However, if you miss the 22:39 Thameslink train from Charlton station to Westhamstead, you will need to make your way to North Greenwich. This is approximately a 45 minute walk, 20 minute bus, 15 minute cycle or 10 minute cab from The Valley in normal conditions (but may take longer on match day)

  • By Car: The postcode for sat nav is SE7 8BL, however street parking is limited around the stadium and restrictions may apply. It’s recommended to use public transport or park in designated areas further from the ground.

Away supporters are allocated seats in the South Stand at The Valley, which seats approximately 3000 supporters. The away concourse offers a selection of food and beverages, including a bar, pies, burgers, and hot drinks. Facilities are basic but adequate for match day needs.

There is another option to go the other way from Charlton Station and get the 22.54 to Woolwich Arsenal. If you look at TfL planner then there are a couple of options there. To be 100% safe then go from Maidenhead as last train back from Paddington is 00.45

I’m assuming that he’s the Watford lad we ushered for at the Old Town Hall about a decade ago. He wasn’t very good.

Just googled. I must have been remembering another Brian/Bryan. Probably different surname.

In case anyone else struggled with the allusion (and because it’s a huge improvement musically on the mystery guy at the Town Hall) here’s Bryan belting out “The Summer of 69” which apparently had nothing to do with 1969 when he would have been 9 years old.

It certainly could be the Summer of Luke O’Nien. Approaching the Autumn of his playing days at 31 but still looks like the young lad who joined the Blues a decade ago.
