What a brilliant ending for England to win by 22 runs.

Absolutely fantastically tense day of cricket. Feel for Jadeja - hell of a rearguard innings.

I went to Lords today. What a great day’s cricket and it was quite tight at the end there!

What a fantastic day’s cricket and well played to both sides, plenty of needle & the result in the balance until just after tea on day 4

After a half hour later than usual tea break on day 5.

Doh you are absolutely right @micra it was indeed Day 5 not 4, another senior moment from me…

Fully excusable mistake. My nerves were in shreds so for about 90 minutes I was unable to think remotely coherently

I try and spend my life as a reasonable, considered and open-minded person but…

IF YOU DO NOT ‘GET’ TEST CRICKET YOU DO NOT GET LIFE!

One for the diary, Sunday week.

Bucks beat Suffolk by 119 runs today in their three day championship match at Bury St Edmunds. Details from Andy Worboys on his way home!

Bucks won the toss and decided to bat on a severely rain affected match on the first day, with a very late start. Wickets fell regularly but the last three batters scored 100 between them, Cam Parsons top scoring with 44, when Bucks finished on 230-9 off their allotted 90 overs.

The captains got together and, in the spirt of trying to get a result, it was agreed that Suffolk would declare on 0/0 and Bucks would declare in their seconds innings,to set Suffolk 276 to win. Bucks knocked off the required 45 runs in just 3.3 overs.

Suffolk had about 85 overs to get the runs but Bucks bowled superbly to win comfortably, Suffolk all out for 156 off 67.1, Parsons taking 4-41. This was a very young Bucks team, half are 20 years or younger, so a real confidence booster with the Northants game coming up on Sunday.

Fourth Test v India kicks off tomorrow. Win toss. Bat. Thursday looking like being a tricky day for batting.

That didn’t wear too well! But Stokes ignores my advice at his peril.

This match is now 40 overs because of the UEFA Euro final at 5pm.

Bucks won the toss and elected to bat. Watch live: https://www.youtube.com/live/mc8-IZW3n80?si=O7GB7KLUu8qG0UqO

Thanks largely to Stokes’ brilliant bowling and captaincy we are now batting on tricky Thursday (witness India losing their last five wickets for 44). Decent start though.

More than decent! And scoring at 5.5 runs an over.

Bucks all out for 160 off 35.5 overs.

Cam Hemp (42) and Billy Dodds (35) put on a quick 69 for the first wicket, but a collapse followed. It was a struggle against the slow bowlers, especially Aussie Lloyd Pope, 4-19 off his 8.

Northants 161-5 off 35.5 and win by 5 wickets. Some tight bowling by Bucks, Northants took it steady to win comfortably.

Don’t mention the Test Match.

England and India once again showing why test cricket is the best form of the game . Nail-biting end to a fantastic series. Shame bad light has interfered.

What an amazing ending, huge respect for Woakes’ bravery. 2-2 is a fair result, two evenly matched teams over the whole series.

A draw definitely a fair result. It’s been an excellent series - plenty of tension, close finishes and a decent amount of needle. If Stokes and Woakes are fit for the winter, it should be an excellent Ashes.
