He’s good, but nowhere near JJ. He’s not a consistently good crosser of the ball like JJ was, that’s pretty important for a full back. For that reason I don’t think we’ll see interest from the championship.
JJ had an assist every 7.2 games, DH every 10.1 games.
JJ for me in terms of overall contribution, but I think Harvie is probably the better player, and if he made the same number of appearances would be the superior choice.
I agree with that. JJ is probably the only left back we have had who is a true legend, wonderful with dead balls, great crosser and scored more goals than normal for a left back. Dan is my favourite player at the moment, I have complete confidence in him and, if he stays around, he too can become a legend.
Proper fence sitter of a comment here. Dan Harvie is the better footballer in open play. Joe Jacobson was so fantastic at set pieces that I have them neck and neck. If Harvie were to propel us to the Championship with some big performances in the coming years then that would sway opinions.
