Dan Harvie

He’s good, but nowhere near JJ. He’s not a consistently good crosser of the ball like JJ was, that’s pretty important for a full back. For that reason I don’t think we’ll see interest from the championship.

JJ had an assist every 7.2 games, DH every 10.1 games.

We might be adding Eze I suppose?

Rab Douglas?

Mickey Bell was one of my first favourites. And still remember Vinnicombe against Brentford. Im sticking with Bell though.

Wowie, that’s a deep cut. That makes it 4.

It’s all about opinions but for me JJ is top by quite some distance, then it is probably Harvie.

Bell was a better wing back then full back.

Vinnicombe was decent too but below most of the above.

He won an award in Scotland when he became the first England player to be sent off in a World Cup

Rob Lee

A career bereft of honours. Apart from La Tournoi

That’ll do.

Yeah that’s actually way more than I thought. Danny Wallace apparently too.

JJ for me in terms of overall contribution, but I think Harvie is probably the better player, and if he made the same number of appearances would be the superior choice.

Didn’t Nicky Reid win an FA Cup? And does Mike Keen count for d major honour too?

I agree with that. JJ is probably the only left back we have had who is a true legend, wonderful with dead balls, great crosser and scored more goals than normal for a left back. Dan is my favourite player at the moment, I have complete confidence in him and, if he stays around, he too can become a legend.

Does Ewan Henderson count?

Not just a top player, but also an elite athlete. We’ve had some great left backs, but Dan has everything.

Proper fence sitter of a comment here. Dan Harvie is the better footballer in open play. Joe Jacobson was so fantastic at set pieces that I have them neck and neck. If Harvie were to propel us to the Championship with some big performances in the coming years then that would sway opinions.
