I’m sure the responses to this will be measured and considered.
He obviously has full support of the owner then.
Where did he get the money from to do this?
How much are the club paying him!
What on earth is this about?
And the “Interim” part of the title has finally disappeared then.
This is really weird…
Enjoy the ride baby.
I assume this is a thank you from Lommy for saving the club from relegation this year!!
He’s rolled the Drice!
All this (potentially) to fend off questions about why the owner doesn’t watch games ![]()
What terrible news as I sit down to my dinner.
He bet his life savings on us not getting promoted last season.
Yeh no idea what to make of it. The doomsday scenario is that Lommy is already getting bored of his investment, maybe the best case is that it’s good for Dan Rice to have more skin in the game.
Either way 10% isn’t much of anything.
Bit more from Lommy:
*Mikheil Lomtadze, owner of Wycombe Wanderers, commented: "Dan has been my trusted partner in the journey of Wycombe Wanderers, and I am delighted that he has become a shareholder in the Club, demonstrating his belief in what we are building and his commitment to our long-term future.
"Our ambition remains unchanged: to build a successful, sustainable football club that makes our supporters proud. We remain focused on making decisions that strengthen the Club and our direction for the long term.
“I look forward to continuing this journey together with Dan, the Supporters Trust and everyone connected with Wycombe Wanderers.”
The Club’s new ownership structure is:
• Feliciana EFL Limited: 80%
• Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust: 10%
• Dan Rice: 10%*
It’s all about the Cat 1 Academy because it’s certainly not about the running or success of the first team.
Dan Rice (1823–1900) was an iconic 19th-century American entertainer, circus clown, and showman who was a household name prior to the American Civil War. Known as the “Greatest Showman” of his time, he popularized the Uncle Sam beard and coined famous phrases like “Greatest Show on Earth” and “One Horse Show”.
Ours is more of a one trick pony.
Disappointing news, the treatment of Matt Bloomfield has forever tarnished Rice for me, and I was hoping that Lomtadze would be kicking his arse down Hillbottom Road. It appears as if we will be lumbered with him for some time now.
It makes you throw up!
It’s no coincidence that Dan Rice has been in interim charge for exactly two years.
Would be good for the club or Trust to indicate the details of the share issue and what this means for the Trust.
Did he buy our was he given them for his success.
Not sure this makes a huge difference in practice. Shareholding was 90-10 Lomtadze / Trust. It is now 80-10-10 Lomtadze/Trust/Rice.
Lomtadze retains full control.
Rice, who I believe Lomtadze trusts to run the club, is personally incentivised to add value to the club as he benefits from increased value in event of eventual sale. I would have thought given extent of debt, the equity value of the club is currently close to nil.
Given the earlier statement of share ownership, quoted above your question, I don’t think this has any effect on the Trust position which remains at 10% of WWFC.
