Farnham Playing Fields update

TBF I’m exited about the plans… went to the consultation event. Just annoying the terrace has been left to decay

I can understand that but again this management team inherited that situation and it was Couhig who had been promising so much with regards a re-jigged Valley end.

We have got much to be positive about @shitcagowwfc and I hope the Valley end will be fully functional soon.

I feel like they have tried to look for ways to sort out the terrace long before this situation but the council always stiff armed them for both the 2nd access and the terrace

To paraphrase a much loved ex member of the club, in a message to me recently ‘that’s in the past now, Wycombe don’t do history anymore’ - somewhat blunt but I’m sure readers can fill in the rest of the sentiment. Really sad that such fervent supporters of the cause feel so disconnected.

For all the bluster, RC knew how valuable the history was to the fabric of the club.

How the history will start in a few years from now.

Kazakhstan has been inhabited since the Paleolithic era.[36] The Botai culture (3700–3100 BC) is credited with the first domestication of horses. The Botai population derived most of their ancestry from a deeply European-related population known as Ancient North Eurasians, while also displaying some Ancient East Asian admixture.[37] Pastoralism developed during the Neolithic. The population was Caucasoid during the Bronze and Iron Age period.[38][39]

I sometimes wonder why some of the people on here support Wycombe at all. :person_facepalming::person_facepalming::person_facepalming:

Yes. The difference is RC had next to no money and realised ‘history’ was a zero cost marketing tool. Where as the OG have loads of dosh so, selfishly, know they behave just how they want and we prols can like it or lump it, no skin off their nose.

That’s a good summary.

RC, as much as i like him, got as far as he did with us through a combination of good luck, charm, wisdom and optimism. As soon as he ran out of those he made his exit plan.

I’m not worried about Lommy getting bored, he’d have to take an apparent interest in the first place after all, but it’s a shame that the OG have made little to no effort in the intangibles that Rob was so good at.

It’s very rare that any organisation driven by quantitative data shows any ability to leverage qualitative values - it just doesn’t feature in their own analytics. Seems Dan et al are just of this ilk. Hence why they may appear ‘cold’ aloof’ ‘unemotional’ which jars with a fan base which is diametrically opposite to those ‘values’.
However ‘it’s their ball’ and they can play with just how they like. It would seem.

“Support” is a rarity on here. So much bleating from the same ol’ same ol’, it’s unbearable.

Fans are allowed to be disappointed by the lack of care for the history, without simply shrugging their shoulders and going ‘oh well, money and progress.’

Your fortitude in keep coming back is inspiring.

There are a variety of reasons. None of which include having to agree with your point of view.

That was a bit uncalled for @ArnosGrove. I am very happy for people to put forward their point of views and I certainly do not expect you or anyone else to agree with me. Keep it friendly, there is no need for nastiness on here.

If you cannot raise (when they are reasonable) questions about ownership, the future, the club, management or players on a fan forum without your support of the club being questioned, what’s the point of the forum?

Can I offer a comment: Ive done bins near there

It really isn’t . Of course if we were a fan owned club we would likely now be bust or in non- league. Couhig also did sweet FA to the stadium and and infrastructre (save a sound system and a screen). The terrace was an issue when he was here too.

Too many people constantly focusing on the negative all of the time imo. That said they really shouldn’t have let the issues with the terrace get us to this point.

Im not going to lie,

Its been an issue far before Couhig
