Generally 4/1 at the bookies, we are around 14/1. Posh at 33/1 looks a good price.
Aye Peterborough stood out for me
I saw us at 7/1 somewhere recently⌠thought that was rather highâŚ
I never make bets but 14/1 is more accurate in my mind.
I would only be interested in a stab if i found 20/1+
A funny season ahead i expect. But for the right odds a tenner might be worth a go if youâre that way inclined⌠who knows
According to betting markets, this feels a more open league than previous year, with favourites Luton quoted at 4-1 to win it and with a less than 50-50 chance of promotion. We are seen as a 16-1 shot to win and with around a 15% chance of promotion. Promotion of course was beyond our wildest dreams just a few years ago but expectation levels seem now to be so high, that it feels like anything else would be seen as a failure. Does sometimes feel like we have forgotten what we are.
What an optimistic post. I expect youâre really looking forward to next season with that level of optimism.
I tend to be a realist rather than a head in the sky merchant. We certainly wonât be in contention with Dodds, UNLESS he radically changes his ethos on his brand of play.
I am not looking forward to watching a continuation of the ultra defensive style he implemented at the end of the season. Good luck if you are!
Not especially optimistic about next season. The rest of the division is weaker, but we are also weaker. I see us finish around 17th if the recruitment was as crap as it was in January.
Iâm optimistic. We might have recruited poorly in January but that doesnât mean we are resigned to recruit poorly forever, even if I (and many others) doubt Riceâs ability to lead. Weâll throw a lot of money at the wall and some of it might stick!
Iâm fully optimistic for next season; I think weâre going to have a very good season, as long as Dodds has us playing football, which is the main concern, Iâm confident weâre going to make some strong signings including a decent number 6.
I generally have nothing much to say about players, recruitment, promotion prospects and so on pre-season. I just look forward to the kick off of live football with rose tinted glasses on. Come Christmas thoughâŚ
This summer is a massive inflection point for the club. Itâs teetering on heading in a very dangerous direction: poor decision making, terrible football and thousands of very disgruntled fans.
Even the most stubborn person must see there is a massive need to change a formula that was not working at all towards the end of last season.
I have faith that the two biggest culprits Rice and Dodds will reflect and realise they need to significantly change their ways or we could be in big trouble.
Thatâs why I predict that after a decent break, weâll start seeing some much more open and honest communications from those in control of the club, some very sensible investments over the summer and some exciting attacking football to start the seasonâŚ.and weâre going to be a force to be reckoned with next season!
While I see Luton as nailed on favourites to go straight back up, I also see it as a very tricky summer for them. I think theyâll have a lot of outgoings and their spending will be very limited as they are funding the building costs of their new stadium.
League 1 (and 2) starts weekend of the 2/3 August, the Championship the weekend after.
What will we do for 2 months?
speculate. gesticulate. repeat.
Yeah, going to be a long off season. Fixtures released on 26th June. Then can start planning away trips.
Thankfully, for me anyway, I have my other love as indicated in my forum name, Formula 1.
football- club world cup
not football- tour de france
probably other stuff i donât know.
Walking the dog alotâŚaka going to the pub.
Womenâs Euros run through the whole of July
the build up has been low key to non existent. I remember huge buildup to the Australian world cup (given it was the world cup). Hopefully there is more of a buildup soon after an excellent 6-0 win yesterday against Portugal.
