Boxing Day reminders out there for some who nearly always predict and some who sometimes are tempted and some who very occasionally give it a go. The deadline will be 2pm to count on the Season Leaderboard.
Many congratulations to @LDF who was very close, missing by just four people, gaining the title of Festive Forecaster of the Week and a rare single digit score.
Congratulations to @DevC, @robin and @micra who were all within one hundred. There were nine more forecasts within 200 on a difficult day.
Many congratulations to @LDF - both for being closest on this measure, but also for a rare treble of being at the head of all three tables - home, away and total crowds and all with single digit misses. Some foresight shown there!Cc
From 35 predictions we were close-ish on all three measures, but nothing like as close as @LDF was on all three measures. We had an underestimate of the home crowd by a bit over 2%, and an overestimate of the away crowd by a fraction over 2%. This led to an underestimate of the total crowd by a fraction under 2%.
@railwaysteve in interests of honesty (esp for the season comp) you have a typo on my prediction which was 11524 not 11624 and hence out by 70odd rather than 30 odd.
@DevC - cheers and thank you for your honesty. I have made the correction ready for the Tour de Season outcomes. It will still be a worthy 9th best prediction of the season by yourself and ensure that you have all ten under 100 by the end of the year and by the half way point in the season.
