I’ll have to come clean. I agree that both McNeilly and Lowry were special and I should strictly be voting for one of them.
I was hoping that Skura would be put under sufficient pressure throughout the match to be able to assess his readiness to step into the first team on a regular basis. But it wasn’t until the second half that there was anything like enough pressure on him to make that assessment. So, limited evidence but I remain convinced that he is at least as accomplished as any of the other players who have played in central defence this season.
