Ah youāre right (not that I had any idea before looking it up) - he was born in Beaconsfield, and finished his career as a player with Beaconsfield Town before moving into management.
I think the point is, this squad is crap and so is the guy that wanted all these signings and also had his pants pulled down over the price tags.

I had a soft spot for Dave. Scored six for us, knocked more than a few players on their arse and seemed like a nice lad. Still playing semi pro for Hornchurch.
Iām not sure Iād have wanted to see him play it out from the back too often but when he put his foot through a ball it went the distance. Iām willing to bet he horsed more balls into the car park than any player before or since and sometimes thatās just what you need. To be fair most of the time it isnāt but we can all enjoy a thunderous hoof now and again.
