Connor Taylor did everything a CB should do. Got the basics right, won every header.
He was not dropped. He was on International duty.
Conner Taylor for me. As others have noted, he did everything right. I can’t remember him putting a foot wrong all game, won nearly every header against a tricky opponent who got so frustrated in the end, he was replaced. Massive mention for Leahy though as it was a close call. BTW what a great team goal the first was. If that was a Premiership match, it would be repeated over and over again on MOTD!
Didn’t he miss the Peterborough game after the international weekend?
N.ireland played 4 days before our game at Peterborough. He didn’t actually play, or even make the bench against Georgia, so perhaps he had a knock? It is more likely than just “not selected”. He has been one our best players so far.
Leahy, and not for the first time this season.
Continues to amaze me that he polarises our fanbase so much. Dodds wasn’t utilising him properly, and yes, he’s not exactly fast, but his precision, positioning and passing still offer huge amounts.
Luke’s heat maps for the past three games, his average position is in the centre circle for all three. His spread of play reminds me of Josh.
Jamie Mullins plays for the Republic of Ireland U21s - not Northern Ireland - and he was in the starting eleven for both their winning matches a fortnight ago against Moldova and Andorra. He is still 20. If I remember correctly, the contract when he signed from Brighton & Hove Albion had a clause stipulating that they must have first refusal on him if and when he moves on. He is destined for high places (and I don’t mean the Mountains of Mourne).
Leahy at last and credit to @Chairboys80 for being gracious enough to acknowledge that Luke played well yesterday (that appalling free kick aside).
Really, are you inebriated with your birthday indulgences @micra? Hoping you have many more to come. ![]()
I’m a sad old teetotaller these days, Chalky. I look inebriated when I walk but that’s another story.
On a rare serious note, I am really sad that I will never see the Wanderers playing in the Championship in front of huge crowds. I’m not sure who to thank.for that.
Good shout @micra I think I got him confused with CBM.
