Fred probably clinched it with his goal but, for overall excellence, being denied his second goal of the season by a brilliant save from the County ‘keeper and a couple of crucial tackles to prevent County from equalising, I’m delighted that Connor Taylor continues to confound his critics. Not that very many remain. Anders Hagelskjaer also had a very good game. He brings so much more to his game than just the defensive duties but, interestingly, despite our overall dominance, I don’t recall seeing him taking one of those thirty yard throw-ins. ---

Anders for me because he steadied the defence and is so good at pin point passes, often across the pitch and changing the focus of attack. ---

I genuinely think we will only have Wareham this season. He’ll get 15-20 goals and be poached by a Championship side in the summer, so we will have wasted our time this season while having such a quality striker. He is a Championship player and I would be very surprised if he isn’t picked up next Summer.
