Really pleased to see Declan get a chance, he’s always impressed me.

Disappointed that Fink is nowhere to be seen, i guess his time is up. And Leahy starting for game 600 makes me think he’ll be leaving in the summer too.

Without knowing the tone and content of behind the scenes verbal exchanges between Michael Duff and Bradley Fink, I think it’s a bit inappropriate to make judgments. I think it’s great the way fans seem to be more or less unanimous in their understanding and support of a young man who must be pretty bewildered by the way things have panned out after that original bold announcement of “our new number 9”.

I think it’s great the way fans seem to be more or less unanimous in their understanding and support of a young man who must be pretty bewildered by the way things have panned out after that original bold announcement of “our new number 9”.

If he’d been announced like that in the days before squad numbers it’d be more of a statement.

But either way the decision to bring a young guy in from a foreign league with such a low goal record for such a huge fee whilst having so few other options would get well up the ownership’s gaff list.

However, that’s a thread for the summer

Tilley is an interesting one. Me AFC mate was right miffed when we nicked him. He was delighted when Tilley returned. He scored a worldie apparently and then succumbed to injury again. But to be fair they did seem to pick up a bit when he returned. Over 10 years as a professional footballer he has averaged only 24 games per season (give or take). That’s a no no (or should have been).

It’s similar with Berry. The data boys seemed to go off age and goals bur didn’t look at minutes averaged per game.

The attacking mid approach seemed to be bring a stack in and a couple will come off well.
