Match Day Thread: Cardiff (A) 17th Mar 2026

Didn’t Lawlor have a rubbish game against us when they played at Adams Park?

I’d like to see Skrua play tonight ahead of Taylor. Taylor looks like a rabbit in headlights and completely out of his depth whereas Declan has had a good loan spell at Yeovil, has recent 90 min matchday fitness & has always played well when he’s been called upon

Say what you like about Cardiff, though how many away days in this league give you the option of a pre-match bagatelle match?

As long as we show a bit of spine and resistance I’ll be happy. I’m not expecting to win, but Cardiff aren’t as unbeatable as they were earlier in the season. This a free hit, with some winnable games to follow.

I entered a competition once in the hope that I might bagatele

Hopefully not a heavy defeat tonight as our GD is pretty good and may prove crucial. Keep it tight and take our chance when it comes. Come on you Blues!

Morley CBM, Hendo.

It may work, it may not.

I would like Junior or even Vidi on the pitch but, let’s see

That’s not what the Gasroom ordered. I hope Duff knows what he’s doing. Poor old Bradley Fink.

another game where we develop other clubs players (Harris) rather than our own…Duff has absolutely killed Fink…really feel for him…Duff man management of this situation does not reflect well

Yep, he won’t get a start.

I would also add no issues having Norris in. Id like MvS to get a game, but not Cardiff away behind our reserves centre backs

Are you Fink’s agent, relative, friend?

Taylor starting we are fucked.

I very much doubt that.

I don’t really but I was running out of opportunities to say it.

If Nathan Lowe starts tonight (or comes on for 15-20 minutes) we really do need to get the ball to him on the deck. Cauley Woodrow is very good in that respect.

Just realised the lineup will already be posted.

And I’ve just looked back! Taylor to be man of the match.

I very much doubt that.

The reality is, Fink is no where good enough. He’s had plenty of minutes and looks like he’s a million miles away from this level.

he needs a run of 5 ot 6 games to show what he can do ….Duff is not prepared to do that …Duff has done some good things but his man management is not great and he blames everyone but himself for the poor tactics he deployed

Anders was Gasroom MOTM for the home tie. Fred was 2nd.

My personal MOTM was Casey.

Come on Fred!!

I’ve long advocated for a midfield of Morley and Boyd-Munce in the double pivot and Henderson attacking ahead of them. Won’t be able to watch tonight but hopefully I’ll be saying I told you so to myself in the early hours. Though I’m not sure I’d have picked Cardiff away as my match of choice to illustrate my tactical nous.
