Match Day Thread : Charlton

Where have you seen a replay?

He opened his body, and sliced it inside foot on the volley. Thats how it looked anyway. Caught the keeper out.

Well that was shit.

And yet we’re 2-0 down with no outlet on the right hand side.

This isn’t great but a loss today and Charlton have all to play for against Wrexham and should beat them. We win our last two we go up.

And who doesn’t want to be here on the last day for Josh to score a 30 yarder on 97 minutes to send us to the Championship?

I’m watching on WTV, they just showed about five replays during half time.

I though Charlton were comfortably the best side we’ve played this season (except Birmingham) when we played them at the Valley. Nothing to change my opinion in that 45. That said, I’m not sure our line up has helped us. All very well going ultra defensive, but concede early and it looks rather foolish.

Huge 45mins coming up. Losing needn’t be a disaster, but we can’t let our GD advantage slip.

I actually don’t think we’ve been that bad. It’s a struggle to create clear chances, but we’ve played some nice football in midfield and battled well. They’ve scored two absolute bangers from two shots, worth 0.2 xG

There are a few other reasons why it’s happened, like injuries and teams getting wise, but my biggest issue with Dodds so far is the Kone drop off. It’s so staggering that he simply needs to take a heap of blame. Especially for a club that claim to want to improve and make money from developing talent.

BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, the week before we went up at Chesterfield in 2018, we lost 4-0 at home to Accrington. So, everything’s silly

The irony of ā€˜Hard to Beat’ blasting out of the tannoy!

Bakinson has done ok in forst half.

Yep, but Campbell is pretty quiet. I dont think it was the wrong choice.

Hahaha… he wouldnt know ok if it smacked him on the backside… he hasnt all season

Think he’d be disappointed with 1st goal.

To make no subs at half time genuinely beggars belief

Can someone tell me what Bakinson has shown so far to justify his inclusion?

Surely Fred and Udoh were absolute musts at half time?

Bakinson is the worst Wycombe player I’ve ever seen on the ball. Decent at tackling and intercepting, but his touch, passing, and shooting are utterly appalling

This is way too easy for Charlton.

Also big problem that our main attacking threat is a centre back roaming up the pitch
