Lot to like about their first half display - in particular how well the defenders are getting the ball high up the pitch. Very impressed by Hagelskjaer and what he brings.
But we’ve disappointed in final fifth of the pitch. We should be winning this on balance.
A really good half with plenty of strong individual performances but it still felt to me that Exeter were the more likely team to score.
Think we got a much clearer picture of what Doddsball looks like in that half, when we move the ball quickly & decisively we look really good.
Anders & van Sas have grown, game by game & are looking an integral part of a pretty solid back 5.
Midfield could be better but Mullins, Lowry & Fred all looked decent.
Still haven’t created a chance though. It feels like we’re about two passes from a beautiful goal with a lot of the attacks but still nothing of note created despite Allen putting in some exceptional crosses that are crying out for a Sam Vokes type to head into the top corner.
First time we’ve had more first half shots than the opposition since February.
The poster calling out Lowry is brain dead. He’s really trying to make things happen. A decent half.

He lost the ball 8 times minimum from his bizarre decision making. I’m allowed a different opinion. Fair play you like him. I thought he did well last home game. His best showing for us. Tonight he’s back to old self imo.
Desperately need a goal scorer. We just don’t look like scoring.

Can we please stop handing around the phrase “brain dead” no matter who we are talking about? Extremely offensive.
I just don’t agree with that definition. A chance is a shooting opportunity that might lead to a goal.
For instance, Lowry’s shot from 30 yards that hit the player 5 yards in front of him is not a chance. It’s just a player making a bad decision.
I think he’ll be on the bench when Henderson & Magnus are fit, playing as an impact sub
Nice build up play, some lovely crosses too… never look like we actually again though.
My takeaways from that half
It looks like we are only attacking down the left, the right side of pitch isn’t offering anything.
Fred is cutting an image of a really frustrated player, lots of flapping and pointing. Then when he gets the ball, he’s so slow on it. Grimmer isn’t sure of his role, is he a RB or a RWB but he’s always caught in no-man’s land
If Udoh is our striker for the season, we are in trouble. We need Fink to get fit quickly or sign someone soon!
Allen is having an excellent game
Anders & Taylor look secure and willing to take the ball out of defence which is giving us options
