Match day thread: Huddersfield 25th Oct 25

Terrace booing Low is mere pantomime behaviour. No real animosity.

that’s True. No one (including myself) really have any hate for Joe Low for leaving, it was his choice and that’s got to be respected

I think that’s undeniable.

Yes, he wanted to join Swansea whilst Bloomfield was still manager.

Still, in a world where Dodds could be blamed for wearing a particular pair of trousers, chewing gum or not being able to drive, it didn’t stop fans blaming him for Joe Low leaving

Let’s be clear “literally everybody on the terrace” means those closest to you.

Those near to me were not booing.

Yeah good point

I find it very disappointing, irritating even, when the whole terrace is portrayed as a bunch of rabid chavs all with an IQ below 100, who only knows one chant - involving Lowry & Bloomfield - and who boo every returning player for the entire 90 minutes.

For sure there is a bunch of about 20 who fit the description - and they are irritatingly vocal - but they don’t represent the terrace as a majority.

In fact, I’d go so far as to say, many on the terrace find them quite embarrassing.

End of rant.

Yeah Never liked the Lowry Chant

The loudmouth kids were dishing out some ridiculous and sustained abuse rather supporting the team for all too long in the second half.

The “Joe Low, what’s the score?“ chant got a lot of the terrace going. It didn’t need to be any more than that really.

Booing an ex player is always moronic ,illogical and pathetic

Joe was nothing but good for us so thought the booing was a bit shitty. I did remark to my mate that he looked even bigger than he did when he played for us, maybe he’s still growing?

vocally enjoying an ex-player losing on his return is absolutely fine btw. Suspect football’s not for you if you disagree

Is there such a thing as a no confidence player?

When anyone lacks in confidence we hold back and are scared of coming out of our comfort zone. This can come across as a lack of effort when it isn’t .

Whether it be Rory McIlroy,Messi or anyone else it doesn’t matter in my opinion. If your confidence is shot you simply can’t perform to the same standard as to when it’s high.

They were silly and it was sustained.I am not sure I heard any ‘abuse’ .

I have a lot of Welsh clients who to a man would not be offended by "sheep shagger’.

This is the worst I heard however immature it was.

It’s hard to not progress though when starting from “utter shit”.

Fixed it for you.

‘Joe Low what’s the score?’ is absolutely fair enough.

I joined in with that myself

Not always.

I’d boo Mickey Bell still just seeing him in the boxes.
