Match Day Thread: Leyton Orient (A) 12th Sept 2026

Think Fred’s looked more dangerous tgan most other games, even as a wingback.

That ball in from Henderson was an absolute peach. Love first time in swingers like that. The pace and spin were perfection.

The good, the bad, and the ugly in that half. But we’re ahead through Fred! Lovely.

In light of my new found ability for reverse mockers may I now announce:

Woodrow is past it.

CBM is a shadow of his former self

Morley’s crossing is bad.

Anders can’t throw a ball straight

Grimmer can’t shoot from distance

Did they manage to do enough to catch Fred’s goal for you?

I’m no advocate of TOG and will criticise when appropriate.

Good to hear the fans right behind the team. Excellent support for such a crap k.o. time.

Scrappy, no control, Harvie whinging (and booked), Grimmer o.g. and yet still we lead at HT.

Fantastic stuff!

Taken our chances brilliantly.

Overall I think that’s another poor half though. We are so shoddy competing for the ball.

Looks like two sides that will do well to finish in the top half.

We know Orient are decent. We were never going to suddenly turn into Guardiola era Barcelona. But, i think weve been alright. The wingback have pushed, the right and left CB have pushed aswell.

Woodrow a little hit underwhelming.

Im losing faith in the keeper.

That pass a few minutes before Fred scored by Woodrow was wonderful, that is his most effective position for me in a bit of a number 10 role behind the striker. Only seen 5 minutes of the match but seems to be going very well! I’ve seen a cracking effort from Wareham, the Woodrow / Fred chance, a couple of corners and a goal from Fred!

Absolutely perfect time to score. The team look so low on confidence that a win today would give them a massive lift.

I really don’t think this has been too bad. In fact I think the midfield looks strong, but again we look a bit weak at the back. An off day for Grimmer so far.

We can win this.

I’m not getting carried away, but it’s clear to me we’re going to win the league.

Just like last week, I genuinely don’t think you could expect any keeper to react to a grimmer built header to the top corner.

The only way he would have saved it would have been standing completely in the wrong position at the front post leaving the rest of the goal gaping.

If you can get results when playing poor this new management has found something  positive in it. COYB…

Headstart for Happiness … with Mick’s blessing

I suggest this halftime routine.

Probably fear of making a mess of it now plus playing in a new system. Taken the lead at the perfect time so let’s just go with it. Second half may be a whole different situation where the players come out with a bit of confidence….another goal and who knows.

Its not necessarily the goal. I just dont think he commands the box, for a giant. He regularly on his line.

And his distribution is poor.

At least with Wareham around you know you’ve got a chance if the scores are tight. That’s worth so much.

Funny half of football but we’ve competed and scored twice, so thumbs up.

Orient had no shots on target. Both with 7 shots. Posession stats close aswell.
