It makes me so sad thinking of just how good we were in October and November. It really was an absolute joy to watch us play.

Now we are not only playing badly but it is an incredibly poor watch too. How has that been allowed to happen? How are people accepting that actually a beaten play-off semi-final is a good season? Why is nothing being done to change that narrative?

I don’t think I fancy going to watch Charlton v Stockport at Wembley.

The final few games of the season are a dress rehearsal for the play-offs and it’s not going well. Absolutely HAVE to beat Stockport next week to have any sort of momentum going into the play-offs, which all the others currently have.

we will go out in the play offs as teams know how to play i
us
we cannot attack and are boring and dull to watch
cant bring myself to watch us under Dodds anylonger , he has wiped the love of watching Wycombe play
lets get thumped and hopefully gets sacked

Yes but ideally entering the playoffs playing positive football not falling into them exhausted and listless and unable to score goals.

How many teams who backslide into the playoffs like we’ve done go on to win versus teams like Charlton who power into them?

% chances of winning the play offs

Charlton 45%
Stockport 30%
Leyton Orienr 15%
Wycombe 6%
Reading 4%

Charlton had comfortably more xG than Wrexham and lost 3-0. Wrexham have been exceedingly clinical this season. Signing Sam Smith from Reading was a particular masterstroke

I was such a bedwetter after yesterday’s game that I stained the words “RICE OUT” onto the sheet. Might come in handy.

Your point is spot on.

Imagine Liverpool were to get 2nd from the position they are in now.

Would they have taken 2nd at the start of the season?

Answer: yes.

Would their fans be happy if they came 2nd now or would there be an inquest into the failure?

It’s use of the high contrast but it sums up the basis of why I feel like I do.

I’ve watched us piss away a great position - with the added bonus of the football being dull to the point of unwatchable.

Goodbye. True supporters follow, watch through the good times and the bad. Team needs the supporters more than ever now.

I’d start the two Danes on Saturday assuming both are injury free, let’s see what they’re about , can they justify the enormous fees , and probably wages too.

Hes not going anywhere
unless we win.

Given so many of us thought it was dire I am still interested to know what @glasshalffull1 thought of the tactics and performance yesterday.

I don’t buy the often stated opinion on here that some players are knackered / tired.

These are highly paid professional athletes, who are required to perform for 90 minutes (or less) once or twice a week.

They have access to gym facilities provided by the club, including weights, treadmills, rowing machines, etc. There is no reason, barring injury, why they should not be in peak physical condition for each match.

I also don’t think it’s a reasonable excuse at all at a squad level. For individual players sometimes it’s valid.

The other teams we’re playing don’t look half as tired and have played just as many games, but didn’t buy 10+ players in January

bull excuses , look at other teams , they seem to be performing fine , prob because they hVe a qualified coach and not a PE teacher

Not sure who has written that vote of confidence piece on official website but if someone senior would suggest that Dodds’ job isn’t under threat.
