Match Day Thread: Plymouth 1st Nov 25 (FA CUP)

Yeah I don’t think you can play Leahy and Boyd-Munce in same side.

Good side, basically seems like Duff’s favoured first XI with some tweaks (Van Sas, Junior, Westergaard, Hagelskjaer). Although the latter played really well v Fulham, perhaps injury to Allen has also made it a necessity, since Allen doesn’t even make the squad.

Rightly or wrongly this is a huge game for Magnus. It’s probably not fair to just expect someone, who has been out of favour, to come in and light it up from the get go, but he might not get many more opportunities before January if he doesn’t take this chance. I’m seriously rooting for a big performance from him today

Just seen Allen in car park. Looked like he was limping.

Definitely. Unless we go for a run in the Tinpot then the cup games (where he’s more likely to feature) will most likely dry up in the second half of the season.

I have seen flashes of quality from Westergaard but probably not consistently enough to make me think he should be a starter.

I think he has looked decent at times from an attacking standpoint, where he reminds me a little of the infamous Sergio - a lot of surging forward runs which can often result in losing the ball, but he’ll then fight like hell to get it back and push on.

Looked fairly busy outside but pretty spartan inside the ground so far. I also hope Magnus has his moment.

It looks like Duff is slowly understanding this squad. His team looks fair settled in defence, he’s now just getting the midfield & strikers to soet themselves out and we should really start to settle

I’m going to have a job to drag myself away from the Rugby League on BBC 1. Two twenty odd men fights in first 10 minutes.

I’m amazed you watch these neanderthal egg chasers!

I’d be surprised if we get over 3,500. This is pretty much the worst tie we could have drawn

So am I, to be honest.

Unable to find a snide live stream so listening on WWTV’s radio stream

Cool your jets Van Sas. Otherwise, good start by us.

WTV commentator keep referring to Norris in goal?

It’s definitely Mikki.

It completely changes the dynamic of the team playing Van Sas. Anders has been a good outlet but a wayward pass from Van Sas has just gone unpunished. He looks very short of confidence. Who woulda thunk Norris would become Mr. Sturdy.

We’ve played some really nice jinky stuff at times though with Mullins a real menace.

Word of the Day: Jinky

Slang: Playfully unpredictable or deceptively evasive

Good start but the half ended on a rather flat note. Argyle will fold like a deck chair if we get the opener but equally we still look like we have a rick in us. Some neat interplay at times. Junior is the ultimate jinkmeister. Can do very enigmatic things but sometimes too slow and ponderous. A low key cup tie hangs in the balance.

Sparse crowd. Argyle are dire but we could easily be done by a lump to their no. 9 on the breakaway. That said we should win this and if we get one early on in the second half we should get a few more.

Come on Wycombe!
