Just like Tuesday night, some of the balls from free kicks and corners delivered by Leahy are a bit floaty. I wish he would fizz the ball in with a bit more pace and a lower trajectory and just go for the direct header rather than the knockdown.
Weāve been absolutely superb so far but I am a bit worried about Simons in the run in. Very hot headed. Can see him getting sent off unnecessarily in this run in.
King kone needs to watch his elbows, especially in a hothouse game like this. We are controlling things. Need to finish it. Wrexham not going to let a man advantage slip.
Limited chances but similar possession/eye test domination to Tuesday night. Just need to take our chances and not allow them to get settled on the ball. Reach impressive again with their left back having a difficult game, I expect Lowry to come on down the left wing after around 65 mins and play some incisive balls as per Tuesday night as well. Come on Wycombe!
Fantastic half of football, great advert for the league. Iāve criticised him plenty over the last few weeks but Will Norrisās distribution has been superb today, pinpoint balls both short and long. I do think Kone is less effective without a second striker in support of him but no real complaints so far ā except weāll probably need to sub Simons and Kone at some early point - canāt have either out for any length of time.
From my view in the corner I thought I saw a hand in his face as well⦠Ref had little control over that scuffle. Questionable attempt to play the ball and certainly not in control, certainly grounds for a red in my opinion but Iām not a āprofessionalā ref. Heāll be walking on a tight rope now I hope but you never know with these officials.
I think the ref let a couple of early fouls by Reading go unpunished and has now created a rod for his own back. I wouldnāt even chance it with Simons for picking up a 2nd yellow. Due to this Iād pop Reach to LB, Leahy into CM with Scowen and maybe Kodua where Reach is currently playing.
