Sad for Blooms. Wonder if Reading are considering their options.

He’ll need to choose wisely now and not sure Reading will be the best place. If he fails at another club will damage his young reputation as he only has a short good spell with us and Col U under his belt along with a relegation and overall crap time at a big club.

Unlikely, but just imagine if he joined the first team coaching staff. What an example of a midfielder for our current crop to learn from. Make it happen Rice! All will be forgiven if you do!

A falling out between Ruce and Bloomfield ( if thats what it was) really has stuck both us and him backwards.

Not sure Blooms walks into a big job after this failure. May need to do a Gareth step backwards.

Such a waste of a good situation.

And the whole needless episode draws to a close. Matt out of a job, us gone from top of the league to bottom, and Rice and co having replaced a great squad with the current questionable crop. Great work.

No way Blooms would come anywhere near Wycombe while Rice is still running the show.

Cant really go to a L1/2 club who have just sacked their manager as he wont want to risk picking up another relegation. Will need to wait for a L1/2 position where a manager moves on from mid table up.

I thought at the time it was a strange appointment for Luton, considering they were fighting a relegation battle. Normally clubs hire experienced managers with some kind of track record in the division. When he failed to keep them up, it was obvious he was going to have to hit the ground running this year. Hope he can rebuild from here.

Always found it interesting that he persisted with a back-5 at Luton when we were awful with it, and only saw an upturn when switching to a 4.

Very very tough for Blooms. Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but he and Luton were never a good fit, especially with their situation and fans expectation. He must occasionally reflect that if he’d stuck it out here things would have gone much better for us all.

Both he and GA left Wycombe to take what would turn out to be the wrong job. Hopefully Blooms will bounce back as well as Gareth did. And at least we can celebrate Luton’s struggles without a tinge of conscience again.

Not getting Kone in January proving crucial to his downfall I feel. What a difference he would have made, would probably have stayed up

Agreed, but cue someone saying it wasn’t his decision to leave…

GA has years of doing well with a club getting promotions galore and built up a reputation so doing badly at QPR didnt do too much harm, Blooms hasn’t got that luxury.

Wonder if Col U would have him back

Yep a shambles all round. Well done to those involved.

Poor old @Shev will be inconsolable!
