he led us a merry dance that day didn’t he?
Fans were begging for us to sign him up but I think by that stage it had become clear he was destined for far higher things

He did seem to hand out First team appearances like “candy floss” to quote Duff.Looking back there were countless examples of his inexperience on show. The pre and post match interviews were crazy at times.
I am sure you didn’t mean it this way but “been around a bit” doesn’t always sound like a complement. For perspective Ainsworth has now managed the same amount of clubs. Also Duff spent his first 17 years at 2 football clubs as a player.
Nothing could match the words of Dodds in the end! At best they were riddles and at worst completely nuts ![]()
Goalkeeper selection will be interesting.
I have the buzz back, really looking forward tomorrow now. Haven’t felt like this since January. Coyb
One of the Danes was injured and the other had a long and apparently fairly serious illness. They weren’t available to pick.
Let’s hope the focus on winning does not upset our Overlords.
What are all the haters going to do if/when he picks Leahy to start.
I very much expect he will. I can’t see him making many changes from the Mansfield starting 11. Michael Duff may opt for a more experienced keeper in Norris though.
I don’t necessarily think his idea of winning is to be the hoofmaster general.I am sure there will be some hoofing but mixed in with fast attacking play on the grass. For one thing I am not sure this team can really become like the old Wycombe. I would expect possession around 50% at home and 40% away. I think his Barnsley side were around this.
Clearly it isn’t going to be Doddsball and I doubt we will be getting suckered playing out from Van Sass in the same way. I would not be at all suprised if it balanced out like Bloomball in the end.If so I can’t see the owners looking at it with raised eyebrows.
Assuming no injuries I expect tomorrow to be the same starting 11 with Harvie as the LWB. I think we’ll absolutely see a change in style though and probably won’t have 300 passes between the central defenders and keeper.
As in ‘he’s managed a few clubs now’. He has the experience of tricky situations we need at the time, which is good as he still seems a coach who is on the upwards trajectory of his career.
As our third Northern Irish gaffer, expecting some exciting times. Some big shoes to fill in that respect!
Though a few may question his inclusion, I think there’s only one true Leahy ‘hater’ and he will continue until he moves on to someone else.
Luke and Jack are both good players for this level.
I don’t think the phrase “Hoofmaster General” has been used on the Gasroom since Lawrie Sanchez was manager.
Oh shit, he thinks it’s rugby.
Kicking for touch? Time for a Norris recall
Hasn’t Grimmer been practicing this tactic all season?
