New head coach/manager

Surprisingly there seems to be no thread where the appointment rumours etc are up for discussion, which made me think maybe there’s just a general feeling that Rice’s mate Hounsell is just a bit of a shoe in for the job. I suspect he’ll be given about 8 games and because our form has turned around by then he’ll be appointed. Let’s face it he has everything going for him, backing from Rice and a much easier set of fixtures than Duff had to start the season. Whether he actually has the credentials to be head coach of a multi million pound football team is at best questionable. I’ve heard no rumours at all about a new incoming coach which is pretty unusual. In my world I’d actually dismiss Rice and appoint Bloomfield with Vokes as his assistant. This would go a long way to repairing our damaged culture, but I recognise that’s a very long shot…who would YOU have as our new head coach/manager.

Those who own the club appoint those who manage the club. Those who manage the club appoint the football manager/ head coach. Supporters have no say. Twas ever thus.
It seems those who manage the club have seen something in Tom Hounsell. Like most of us I presume I know little of him but while he has the job he starts with my full support. All managers including some who were not former players have to start somewhere.

Dean Brennan (Barnet), Luke Garrard (Boreham Wood) both doing good jobs albiet at a lower level, both managed plenty of games and both young Brennan 46 & Garrard 40.

46 young?!

Managers can go on into their 60s-70s so 46 isn’t exactly over the hill.

Brennan is someone i have kept my eyes on for a few years now, I lived in Ruislip through my childhood and attended some Wealdstone matches and you could see then Brennan has something. And his rise with Barnet on a low budget is something to be admired.

Five out of seventy two managers at the moment. So just under seven percent. Wroy H at Bristol City last season would certainly have bumped those numbers.

If we’d not won the past two games, you can be sure there would be a whole more discussion on this topic.

regardless of upcoming results, they already have their mind on who they want.

Probably waiting for Zerbi to get the sack at Spurs!

Bookies aren’t talking any bets on a new manager, odd.

Trempted to say belt up but I’m too polite.
