Can’t remember Couhig ever bullshitting. Oh yes I am too old to keep crossing the Atlantic and then taking over at Reading and crossing the Atlantic.

Speaking of Man City, I’m sure a lot of you saw this excellent summary of the situation:

I have a question for the other nerds like me: looks like a Puma kit in the sketch so it isn’t the 2012 match v QPR, did anyone other than Wycombe ever wear Red & White Quarters at the Etihad? Is this us in the sketch or just an anachronism?

It’s totally different rules lower down the leagues. They can put a tonne load in as long as they’ve also put loads into infrastructure, which they clearly have.

The Kone fee also will have covered most of the outlays anyway, if not the increase in wages… but I refer to the above paragraph.

At the end of the day if we’re “cheating” for the on pitch results we’ve seen this last 2 years its be hilarious in a bad way.

“This just in: Stockport County have petitioned the EFL to allow Wycombe to keep cheating.”

I went to watch Barwell v Shepshed Dynamo this afternoon in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands (Step 4). Shepshed were the (deserved IMO) 0 - 3 winners. They got off to a quick start with a first goal within 2 minutes: the right winger got down the wing and played a square ball into the area, which the striker neatly sidefooted on the volley through the legs of the advancing goalkeeper. Their second goal followed not long after, from a free kick that was headed into the box and hooked home on the turn. The third goal was added towards the end of the first half when the Barwell 'keeper could only parry a low shot to the side of his six yard area where the Shepshed right winger was following up to tuck it in.

Barwell tried hard, but Shepshed were better in all areas and limited Barwell to only one real on target shot that I can recall; easily gathered by the Shepshed 'keeper. They took their chances well, but it was as much what they did when out of possession that meant they controlled the game: forwards and midfielders pressed and gave Barwell little time on the ball to pick a pass; defenders played a high line and forced the Barwell forwards to stay deep to stay onside, then tracked any runners to smother attacks.

A pleasant afternoon in the sunshine, with the added bonus of there being virtually no messing about with ball at the back by either team.

It’s not us as the red & white quarters are the wrong way round. In fact it’s probably this image that’s being drawn …

Unfortunately it’s probably just AI slop. Good to see you back here though Pete!

Sorry I removed the image so that the Getty people don’t get upset with us

West Ham v QPR tonight at 8pm.

Kone on the bench and struggled this season. A cheeky loan move in January might be on the cards.

Paul Smyth looked very good in the first half didn’t he?

Got a knock and gone off now - shame as he was bossing the match !

Kicked to bits wasn’t he.

He’s been brilliant this season for QPR - game changed once he went off, West Ham knew who to focus on !!

He’s very consistent I believe and one of QOR’s best players, must be due a testimonial soon if you forget about Orient

Absolutely incredible stuff from a member of the MK staff.

You’re getting sacked in the morning, sacked in the morning!

Deliberate attempt to push ( I won’t say assault) a player during a match and then goes down like a sack of spuds, feigns injury and then shouts abuse at opposing fans who are ripping him to shreds.

No way he’ll keep his job.
