Pre-season games

The reason Millwall wear blue is because of Scotland isn’t it?

By the way, Desouza scored two hattricks against Bradford that season - home and away

Is players having to move to Marlow the new ‘the Danish season ended in 2022 so they are bound to take some time to settle’?

Not worried at all about results - just about implementing a style of play that doesn’t make me want to tear my eyes out like he did last season.

If pre-season confirms he’s learnt nothing and will still ve overly defensive and dull it’s irrelevant whether we win 1-0 or not.

Can someone better informed than me explain how data on individual players gets integrated into team performance? It is a team game after all and data achieved surrounded by, say team mates in a Belgian, Danish or Scottish team, may not replicate what is expected of them in our league or system.

The modern coaching model appears to be obtaining players who can be programmed to fit a pre ordained system. Which is fine as far as it goes and obviously works at an an elite level. At our level though, where skill level is less predictable, other, softer, team attributes must come into play - like togetherness etc.

Reason I ask is, whilst Gaz was all about ‘band of brothers’ adapt to what is available, and Matty B was a bridge between the old and new, I’m not sure the management team we have in the building now value, appreciate or can leverage this as may be necessary in League One.
Very happy to stand corrected as all I want is success.

And competent Premier league players should beat a League one team by a hatfull of goals without the L1 fans predicting the end of the world.
Every pre-season I can recall, the predictions for the League are mainly dire.
As long as the players are up to speed when points are at stake, I can take it.
MD knows the World Wide Wycombe Phenomenon is watching.

Scored the vital penalty just before half time to go 2-0 up and secure our win.

Also scored in the play off semi win at Plymouth and perhaps would have at Wembley but for being semi injured.

I think he did. Sammy Wood also scored a long range lob IIRC?

Does Kane Crichlow scoring against us last night count as the ex player curse as he was on trial with us at the same time as Kone?

Several press releases around player signing have repeated the idea that we want tactical fluidity.

I assume that means we’ll have multiple systems and be able to change in game.

Very likely that takes time to develop and we’ll see a few games where the team looks disjointed.

Over the course of the season, however, it will hopefully be the right approach.

Yes the Scottish factory workers. The lion is more contentious/probably not.

For me personally, an absolutely pivotal player for us. Last season, I couldn’t split him and Morley for POTS for the first half.

I’ve never been more excited for a left back to return from injury.

It worked for Peter Taylor.

Shame, expect he’ll be loaned out again

“Highlights” are up on the Sutton YouTube page. I’m going to diplomatically refer to them as “disappointing.”

Yep, Sutton couldn’t trap a pig in a passage.
