Scowen out for (last) season!

‘Exclusive’ update from the BFP’s James Richings on Josh Scowen.

For a horrifying moment I thought this was a new thread and he was out for next season too.

I may be wrong, but I got the impression that Josh wasn’t very effective under the Dodds regime, and seemed frustrated with the style of play imposed on the squad.

But it seems that Duff rates him, and will want him back as a starter when fit.

Thumbs up for not starting a needless new thread.
Thumbs down for giving me a heart attack.

Exactly this bossman, exactly this!

Someone really needs to change the title.

Bad enough surely for him to be out (potentially) for the whole of this season.

Top of the league by February

That is good news, hopefully see him back on the pitch in January for Rd3 of the FA Cup.

Hopefully post injury he’s the same player than before.

Magnificent news.

I still think of Josh as being about 24 or 25 but he’s very much the grizzled senior pro in the recent interview. He and Duff are going to do well together.

Hopefully, if he can be fit and available by 1 January, that may mitigate any potential disruption caused by recalls of our loan players.

I doubt any of our loan players will be recalled - unless we cancel the loans.

Our loanees are Bell, Woodrow, Huggins, McNeilly, Abbott.

Abbott (injury) & Huggins (lack of minutes) I imagine will go back but I’d hope Bell, Woodrow & McNeilly all stay.

It would be nice to see Bell and Woodrow convert to permanent deals in January.
