Stadium Chat

A chat to talk about any changes and/or developments of Adams Park. We know that the current owners have been focused on other areas (like academy) but there will come a time when the ground will need some TLC (or relocating)

In the meantime, I’ve found this article from someone who has visited all of the 92 football league grounds and have ranked them in order. What do you think about Adam’s Park position compared to others?

I dont think Mr Couhig will be impressed with the Dings ranking!

I mean, what he writes is fair. Yes, it has a beautiful backdrop, but as he says, it’s at the end of the industrial estate. I mean, there are still blood stains on one of the soap dispensers in the FA stand, so I think 92nd is fair!

There’s a cobweb in the corner of one of the toilets in the Frank Adams Stand that’s been there since 2009.

I’m on nodding terms with the spider.

At least we have a better ground than Reading & MK. I’m not sure how Oxford & Luton have beat us but each to their own!

If we do ever relocate I’d be looking at the AFC Wimbledon design rather than a 30k bowl that will be empty most weeks. With home crowds as low as they are though I don’t think the owners will see a new ground as a priority anytime soon.

C*lu in last place. lol.

Brentford’s stadium has to be the mould if they’re ever looking to (or have the demand to) build a new stadium. 17,250 capacity, compact and noisy, sold out week in, week out.

Yes, lovely stadium. Probably wouldn’t need 17.5k capacity though.

In 34 years of regular visits to Adams Park, I have never been in any of the toilets .

I am proud of this stat.

Edit: When I say I’ve never been in any of the toilets, I don’t mean I’ve “been” somewhere else in the stadium, I mean I pre plan, to ensure nature doesn’t call whilst I’m in attendance. How long the feat can last now I’m getting on a bit only time will tell.

That’s some achievement given the average length of games in the GA era

It’s a shame that every time we get close to a full house at AP we tend to play like chumps. We never seem build any momentum.
