I am not sure how you can possibly compare past Wycombe players to what Lowry is doing. For the record, Hibs fans think Nathan Lowe is a waste of space.
I agree that 50% of the games in the SPL are probably a similar standard to League 1, but the top 2 are Premiership standard and the rest of them Championship - which makes the league harder to win.
Fact is, Motherwell are a very good footballing side, easily in the top 6 teams in Scotland and Lowry is playing well for them.

We have an ex-defender as a manager whose mind set seems to be utilitarian. What we, as fans, want is the leash to be taken off! I believe we have the players to do so (and I always thought there was a player in Lowry). One day, perhaps.

He just didn’t put the effort in with us and we ended up effectively playing with 10 men in most of the games he played. Potentially could go a long way if he puts his mind to it consistently. Think with us it was simply wrong club and wrong time.
Celtic and I presume you mean Rangers (although not currently 2nd) might be premier league on size of club, but surely wouldn’t stay up with their current squads.

I just not sure he was a fit, especially not under Duff. It seems Motherwell are allowing him more freedom, which suits.
I remember Vale away and he was picked, but complaints about not supporting midfield abd he was hooked. Its not really his role.
Hes clearly talented though. Be interesting if ( when?) Duff gets sacked who comes in.

No just wrong fans - seems like we are not used to and not ready to give youth a chance. Too many writing players being written off after a small sample of games - social media mentality players are either world beaters or rubbish. No in between unfortunately
One wiff of his “bad attitude” before he came here was enough for some fans to write him off without knowing all of the facts.
I dare say some have already done the same with Wareham without taking into account both players relatively young ages.
God help him if he doesn’t smile in an interview, or wave to Terrace Terry at the start of a game, or cuts a frustrated figure when making a run and the ball is passed backwards again, or fails to chase down a lost ball just once, even after doing it for the previous 90 minutes.
I’m sure “Wycombe fans are scum” was a once popular post of the OG gasroom.
If anyone wants to know why Lowry is on loan, go back and find the highlights from the pre-season game against Brighton, and just keep your eye on him. Two of their goals come from him giving the ball away in a dangerous area, and then not tracking a runner who goes past him. Nobody who does that is getting in a Michael Duff League One team - no matter how talented a dribbler or how creative a player they are. I don’t think it’s got much to with attitude, he’s just not defensively trustworthy.

I can understand why Lowry was let go. Huge talent, but often didn’t do enough with it, must have been very frustrating to coach him.
Motherwell are probably the ideal club for him with their total football approach and Lowry is clearly thriving. His goal last night (which is all over social media) is absolutely top draw no matter what league you’re playing in. I hope he does well, continue to play as he is and assuming he has another year on his contract (I’ve no idea!) then he’ll be worth a lot of money. I’m guessing bridges are probably burnt in terms of a return to Wycombe.
