Joe Low has confirmed his departure via Instagram. It’s doubtful the club even intended to negotiate a new deal to keep him.
Joe Low seems to have effectively confirmed his departure by sharing the following social media post.
And so it starts.
We’ve been blessed with some incredibly gifted centre backs over the years but JL is right up there with the best of them. He’s looked miserable on the sidelines for weeks, it was inevitable he’d move on.
Richard Kone just tweeted, ‘we will be back next season even stronger.’
I dont think unless a club higher up the pyramid comes in he will be going anywhere until Jan. Maybe have put off suitors for now with his diving and baron spell of 2 goals since Feb.
To be fair he said he wanted to go in the January window and I believe we turned down a bid for him from Swansea (might have been Cardiff). During the last few weeks there was no way you could drop Taylor or Bradley anyway.
Fresh from the disastrous end to the season , below is what i think should happen

The squad needs lots of work , especially in the midfield, lets see what the management have got planned
I won’t have this Ravi slander. Keep him and fire the rest of them out of a canon
You must’ve missed the challenge he bottled around the 81st minute last night.
Be very interesting to see if Bradley gets offers from elsewhere and where he ends up. He was colossal last night and is a real throwback. Not sure if that counts for or against him in the new world but Dodds obviously trusted him and was rewarded.
Time was we had a decent hit rate of turning loans into perms because they loved the culture and feel of WWFC. Let’s see.
I’m sure they did offer a new deal as that allows us to get compo for him being Under 24.
I’m surprised so many people seem to think Kone leaving is a given. He had a great 6 months or so. But prior to that had hardly played at this level. His fitness looks to have been a major issue and he’s also looked close to some needless red cards.
I think a lot of clubs will see it as an expensive gamble if we still demand a significant fee, which I think we would.
To be clear, I think he’s superb and will get better. The fitness issue is likely due to it being his first full FL season.
From what I’ve heard there’s very few players who actually want to stay. I mentioned last night that I’d be very surprised if any of last nights starters are here in September.
I’ve heard it was the players that kicked up a big fuss about Harlington after the club have been telling them for years about how Marlow is great to live in and so close to the training ground. They hate the long commute in a high-traffic area.
Club captain, Jack Grimmer signed a contract till 2027 earlier this year, so there’s one already. The level of hyperbole on here today is incredible. Things aren’t great, but we aren’t suddenly going to have an exodus of every player in the squad…
The good doctor won’t see this opinion though, of course.
Surely Grimmer, Leahy and Udoh will be. The rest I’m not sure.
We’ll see. Bookmarked for future lolz.
We need to get back to the good old days when we started the season with 5 players and used Ainsworth’s curtains for goalposts.
This is actually going to be the most simple summer ever, as we only need defenders for Dudds’ ethos.
More inside information!! Brilliant. I look forward to you giving us all the transfers before they happen from your moles within the club during the summer.
