2025/2026 Squad

Without knowing the details of undisclosed contracts, this is Mike Dodds’ pre-season report based on current information. Unless players are sold, loaned out, or others (whose contracts may expire in 2025) leave the club, this is the expected squad for the upcoming season. Decent spine - a few players who may want to leave ect or try out more:

Blatantly obvious cliche but “big summer ahead”

That’s seriously lacking star quality for a top six finish once you strip out Scowen (ACL) and Kone (surely not staying).

Why has Rav been missed out at the top of the list?

Agreed – it’ll be interesting to see how Lowry, the two Danes, Back, and Berry fit into the matchday 18, especially with new signings potentially on the way.

I omitted those out of contract we know about for 2025.

I thought we knew that Butcher, McCleary & Taff were out of contract?

I couldn’t find a public source for that. I did find details for the others guessing the club have handled it well but haven’t made it publicly clear (which you’d expect them not to do).

“He has turned his back on us !!”

I think Kone, Harvie and Fred will be off to Luton for more money. Plus Luton will get Bradley.
Hartridge will sign for Exeter.
Taff, Rav and Hanlan have no future here.
Scowen sadly will not be fit to play for most, if not all, next season.
McCleary will probably retire.
I think it’s going to be a busy summer transfer wise, that’s why we need a proper manager in place now.

Where? When? I feel like I’ve missed something here?

Who has?

Cant see Fred going back to Luton after being released by them 12 months ago. Harvie hmmm. still inured might be a no go. Kone… seems inevitable but a much smaller fee or maybe elsewhere. Sadly Dodds will be going nowhere Bayo…

Re Fred, it will show whether Blooms has FULL control over signings.

Doubt it Gary Sweet isn’t viewed any more favourably than ‘Data Dan’ by Luton fans, given the club’s decline

It’ll be a bold move for Bloomfield to raid Wycombe for players this summer given Luton will expect an instant return to the Championship and he needs a fast start to the season. With PL parachute payments at their disposal I suspect they’ll be fishing in a bigger pond then Harvie, Onyedinma and Bradley. I imagine if Kone is leaving he’s leaving for a Championship club.

Agreed - cant see why they’d take Bloomfields scrappy seconds who failed in the Playoffs.

Please just no more Danes

I think Bloomfield would come back in for Kone and that Kone would be tempted.
Harvie would need to get back to fitness before looking to move on as he wouldn’t pass his medical.
Bradley could be high on a few club’s wish-list, I guess it depends on the relationship(s) that he’s built since being here will tempt him back.
Fred will do what he’s always done, performs and gets noticed while a window is open / about to open but go missing for the rest of the season.
McCleary & Vokes will call time on their careers, it looks like Vokes will stay as a coach but I think McClear will look to relax or have a change of scenery

We should get Dastan Satpaev on loan next season. 18 years old and joining Chelsea from Kazakhstan for a record 4 million fee.

That would tick all of Lommy’s boxes.

Good shout - can imagine in four years from now 5 kazak players on loan… whether they are any good who knows… ask “Data Dan”.
