The length of that cellebration run was almost Bean-esque.
The academy project seems to be progressing nicely. Well done lads👍.
Always missed a youth set up and so glad it is back.
But I am frustrated by the clubs social media go at this game whilst keeping so many of the others out of the public gaze. Feels like following an Olympic sport once every four years rather than hearing about the match by match growth.
Must be a reason for much of the silence but don’t go to town on the odd game either.
Bristol Rovers highlights.
Stones and Gregory both have enormous potential. Stones is particularly exciting because he is clearly destined to play for the senior side in due course. He has pace and speed of thought as well as strength and technical ability. He led the line well against Orient in that Carabao Cup (?) match and I would be surprised if he doesn’t make a few substitute appearances for the first team before the end of the season.
FT Oxford United 1-2 WW.
We took the lead on 52’, they equalised on 56’ and we scored the winner on 85’. No details on our scorers.
The FA Youth Cup Second Round home match against Bromley is scheduled for Wednesday 19 November at 19:30.
Why bother giving us the line-ups if they’re not gonna follow it up with game details and results, seems incredibly half-hearted
Yes @fedup1980 it doesn’t make any sense.
In today’s EFL Youth Alliance newsletter, we have this interesting fixture change.

So this week the Academy are playing on Tuesday and on Wednesday, at Burnham. I think they have a 25 strong squad, so that is possible. Mike Duff has said he will not be using Academy players for the Gillingham match on Tuesday.

The academy Twitter has us playing Chelsea today. The plot thickens.
Sorry what?
Hope someone there is singing: “Are you Wimbledon in disguise?”.
Chelsea, Wimbledon, Burnham, Gillingham… we’ll take them all!
Has anyone seen any info on the Chelsea match? The few bits dropped onto Instagram looked positive, but no actual details were given.
There are good reasons why the club is limiting the amount of information put out by the academy. We need to retain and develop the gems our academy staff are unearthing, not advertise them in the shop window for a ‘bigger’ club to take for minimal compensation.
Scouts from other clubs are allowed to attend some games, in which case we can’t hide what we have. But for games played behind closed doors don’t expect much information to be published.
FA Youth Cup 3rd Round Draw, scheduled to take place by 13 December..
Wycombe Wanderers or Bromley v Sheffield Wednesday
Tomorrow the Academy are at home to Luton town, kick-off 11am.
Wow.
Does that mean he now does everything with the squad and is available for selection every week?
Not sure how this kind of transition works.
