I was reading a Football history book the other day and during the war (with apologies to uncle Albert from only fools and horses) many of the regionalised professional leagues were unable to complete all their fixtures in any given year and places often decided by points per game. If he was around during that time, our Mr Swan would’ve had a nervous breakdown.
