Looking forward to it. I wonder if the ticket will count as an away fixture for when we have sellout away game?
Great draw for Penn. I was lucky enough to manage them some 30+ years ago and we won the Wycombe Senior cup in that period.
I hope they can get a big crowd. ![]()

I wonder how many fans they are able to have around their pitch at one time? I know that the Neighbours will hate that evening….. after all the battles the club had with them to get the flood lights installed.
87/88?
I will need to hunt out the actual programme for the date but we played Rivet Sports at Loakes Park.
Penn’s website gives the capacity as 900, which may not be enough for all who want to watch.
Some of those teams are surely in Oxfordshire.
Yes, historical boundary changes is the usual reason.
Abingdon was once thecounty town of Berkshire.
Penn is a 15min walk for me so a great tie to pick out. I wonder how they’ll manage the tickets. Anyone disappointed can at least go and cheer on Holmer Green against that abomination.
I’d say it’s a toss up for which of Penn or Holmer will have the most challenging issues with parking! Both aren’t great for driving + crowds more than 100.
Wonder how it’s gonna pan out. On Tuesday the seventh, we are scheduled to play a virtu cup game.
Does that mean the B&B match will be played on another week or do we put out the development squad at Penn ?
We’ll play the Academy squad, just like MK & Reading do in this competition.
It would be surprising if we play this the same night as Fulham. It would be unfair to ask fans to choose. Academy players might be needed for Fulham, and the media team is needed at both. It’s already listed under Penn’s fixtures on Tuesday 7th. They have a league game the following Tuesday, the 21st is free for both teams. Wednesday 8th could work.
Their record crowd is listed as 500+ for a Showbiz XI in 1984. This is an opportunity to add another record crowd to our list.
The Penn & Tylers Green game is showing on the Berks & Bucks website as Wednesday 8th October 19:45, so no clash with Fulham.
Holmer Green v MK is being played early on Tuesday 30th September.
My guess would be that the senior squad will turn out for the Fulham game with no Academy players
The Academy presumably will then provide the squad for the P-and TG game
I wonder what the ticketing arrangements will be, or simply turn up and chance it?
I think that’s the agreement with all of the EFL Teams that they play their U21 or U18 squads
Tonight’s matches.
1R- Wantage Town 3-1 Milton United (HT 1-0). Wantage are away to Winslow United in the next round.
2R - Holmer Green 1-4 MK (HT 0-1).
