Berks & Bucks Senior Cup 2025-26

Was a very jolly listen on the rebels radio last night, feel for all who braved it as it sounded a tad windy to say the least. Oh well at least we’ve done well in one cup this season.

Windy and very wet.

12 minutes of Slough highlights.

A great watch that ! - mystified as to how many penalties went over the Bar or hit the Bar !!

I thought he took his goal really well.

Its been tough as he was brought in to play a style by Dodds which is different to Duff.

I’m sure given the opportunity and service will prove his talent.

Agreed about all those you mention as having good games, but it was an excellent first impression from McCallum. He looked really fit, really busy and just had a bit of Scowen’s combination of perpetual motion, really great instinct for where the ball is going and that ability to do sensible things with the ball when it’s won. Very exciting.

Why were slough in a white kit at home?

According to Slough Assistant Manager Tony Fontonelle, their players said you only had to touch the ball and the wind picked it up. Credit to the players who kept their shot low. Had the ref chosen the other end, the ball might have lifted even more dramatically. The wind, rain and pitch all contributed to a rather abnormal game.

I don’t know, but anything that avoids us having to wear the horrendous green and white checked shirts where you can’t see the names or numbers was okay by me

These are the only matchday details I have seen so far, looks like pay on the gate with a card only and not segregated. I don’t know if the £5 parking in adjacent St Joseph’s School will be available. It’s a pity this is the same night as the Sponsors Dinner, this might be a true Academy side, which is only fitting.

Why on earth hasn’t the sponsors’ dinner not been moved?!

I’m guessing it was a bit late to move it, plans have been made, sponsors may have booked travel and accommodation but, yes, this is the second B & B game to clash with something important. Why not think it through and arrange it for a Thursday when no game will be played?

No Fink at the sponsors dinner then, he’ll be playing in the B&B.

Dilemma for me, Winslow United play their last game of the season tomorrow night, home to AFC Welwyn, when a win will see them as Spartan Premier champions. For a village team on a small budget, it was quite an achievement to get promoted to this division two years ago. Getting up to step 4 would be extraordinary. At the moment Winslow is winning my vote.

Thinking about enjoying the sponsors dinner and leaving around 8.10 (Players leave at 8) to get in the second half at Arbour Park.

It’s a shame they are on the same night.
