If you fancy more choice, you can pop one station up the line to Westhoughton. Here there are various outlets including a Wetherspoons. Plus a great little Micropub called The Beer School.

I was also going to recommend a Greek restaurant in Westhoughton but apparently it closed in 2023

A good few choices in Westhoughton but it is a good 10 minute walk from getting off the train to your suggestions and back again.

It is also on a different line to Horwich Parkway meaning a 45 minute journey via Bolton to get to the ground.

I would definitely not recommend Westhoughton.

The best restaurant in Westhoughton is the Chinese near McDonalds

No away tickets on the day. Available till midday on Thursday and can be collected at the Toughsheet.

Thanks - I’ve removed it from the list.

we want to constantly keep these guides updated so the feedback is great!

If anyone has other suggested pubs nearby I’ll collate them all, and add shortly.

The hotel at the ground has a huge bar upstairs and they serve basic food before the game. Also only 1 minute walk to the away end before KO.

I’ve found it friendly during our games and when I have stayed for work and ventured down before Tuesday night games for some banter in the bar.

You can park at the Harvester for free if you eat inside. Currently doing an offer of kids eat for £1 during school holidays.

Looks like the kids food offer doesn’t apply over the Easter weekend.

Been to the Beehive on two occasions, very friendly and no problem with away fans. Last time we actually parked on the little slip road right outside.
