Just thought it may be worth creating a new topic for Bradley.
I have been pretty dismissive of Bradley but when he came on the field on Tuesday night he seemed to have much more energy and movement than he’s shown in previous games. Bradley does get in the positions to score but his finishing is pretty poor to date.
I think there is a player in there but at the same time I feel it is a risk to wait for Bradley to finally get into groove. I believe a loan to a lower league team would be beneficial for the lad.
When he came on the pitch on Tuesday night my first thought was ‘he’s read the Gasroom’. So much negativity about his work rate on here and it was like a horse had bolted when he came on.
Hes seemingly low on confidence. But, if you watch his videos, you can see his preferred style of play. Ball generally into feet, players running off him, him laying off and getting in the box, he also seemingly has a good touch and a bit of skill. He is not a target man and thats generally what people expect still.
Telling him he isnt good enough and banging him out on loan to football even less suited to him would likely damage his confidence even more.
There’s a player there, just not sure if it will be suited to us or league 1 football.
It’s nice to see us all routing for him and desperate for him to score, rather than calling him shit and getting on his back during the game. This is will be up there with bean with the shit when he finally nets his first league goal.
Agree with that. Watching on TV on Tuesday there was a really noticeable roar* of anticipation/hope when Fink came on. You can tell that the crowd really want him to do well. (Which probably doesn’t help his nerves).
*’Roar’ in the context of an Adams Park crowd obviously
Agreed. The roof would’ve come off the place if Brad’s belter of a shot had gone in.
(As stated in a previous thread I thought the atmos Tuesday was much better than Saturday despite being only half the crowd)
It wasn’t a miss. The defender said on and got his foot on it as Fink shot, that was why the referee gave a corner. Fink got the biggest cheer of the night apart from when the goals went in. I think their is a player in there. He links up with other players well with his lay offs and headers to team mates. Just needs a goal to go in and his confidence will rise. Remember that he is only twenty two and getting used to a foreign League. Let’s get behind him and play our part in making him a better player.
