“My wife” please. Before mine comes over and moiders ya.
In the UAE, Waitrose is called Spinneys. Why? Don’t know.
He might be referring to someone else’s wife?
In the UAE, my wife is called ‘my only wife’ because you can have up to 4 out there if you are stupid enough.
And as the old saying goes, “less is often more”.
King Solomon had 700 wives, plus quite a few concubines when his wives were busy.
I sincerely hope not.
Your confusing wives with mines.
Inanity is an overused term but, after reading a few of @kim_il_swan’s posts I got to thinking how inane an exchange on here between him/her/them and @Chairboys80 would be. Is there any precedent for such an exchange, I wonder, and, if not, could someone with obscure “left field” creativity come up with something. @kim_il_swan perhaps?
How we miss Shev and his amusing imagined dialogues.
I’ve used his “He’s chosen his mates” line on here a few times for easy laughs but that’s about it.
Not good enough. You can both do better.
My wife will genuinely only shop in Waitrose because the clientele are of a higher standard than in other stores.
Surely “licence”, @micra. ![]()
My favourite “Overheard in Waitrose” quote was “darling, do we need Himalayan pink salt for both houses?”
@micra is correct as always.
Well from 1855, Robert Browning’s poem ‘Andrea del Sarto’.
Thanks, “perfidious”. Interesting.
What’s the correct word for that setup? Don’t all rush.
Apologies for raising false hopes about the signing of a proven goalscorer and for forgetting to send this two months ago, disproving the saying that something is better late than never.
For what it’s worth the answer to my question is ‘a Challenge’. Nuff said.
