@DevC only employs those that fail a background check. If he didnât who else is going to use them!
Why donât you sue him
Ignorant and pompous
He could just use cash from an ATM machine.
Ten points if you can name the (unlikely) Gasroom duo who once spent an away game correcting the punctuation on the signs at Nene Park.
Come on Bargie sue for defamation.
And then buy a hoover
Iâll sue you for stealing my line
Dear Jesus, please keep my family safe, bring peace to the world in these troubled times and have Dan Rice sign a 19 year old striker from the Swedish second division as otherwise I fear I may be driven into madness and the deceitful arms of Satan through reading such strange and sinful threads like this one on the Gasroom.
I pray I may resist the temptation to wind up Bargey or indulge in excessive pedantry but I am weak and cannot help but click on the seductive temptress that is an updated post.
Just to be clear, suing anyone under the Defamation Act 2013 is a very expensive business, which is why generally only high profile âcelebritiesâ with deep pockets get involved in it, e.g. Coleen Rooney v Rebekah Vardy.
Cases are heard in the High Court (Media and Communications division), where it is expected that Counsel will argue for each side, at a cost of at least ÂŁ40k, with the loser also having to pay the winnerâs costs.
So as I donât have that kind of wedge tucked down the back of the sofa, I wonât be suing @eric_plant (even though heâs a complete knobhead) or any other Gasroomer any time soon.
Are you suggesting that if you had the money, you would sue him and win?
No chance. This is just banter on an internet form, and doesnât come close to reaching the threshold of what constitutes defamation as defined by the Act.
I would suggest calling Eric a complete knobhead might have repercussions!
Popcorn sales increasingâŚ
Terrible thread this
The devil makes work for idle Gasroomers.
Plus youâd have fewer chance of winning than a snowballâs chance in hell.
Five items or less is probably more than I can afford in Waitrose. (Poetic license before you all rush over to doff me the odd fiver.)
