Middlesex 199-2 off 25,5 overs and won by 8 wickets, de Caires 108, Fernandes 71*.
Those two put on 180 for the first wicket in very quick time, finding the gaps with ease. Haddow took the two wickets near the end. The difference in class was clear but this was a strong Middlesex side.
Tomorrow, Sunday, Bucks Men return to Marlow CC to complete their NCCA T20 Group 3 fixtures, with a double header against Wales. Bucks are probably already assured of a top three finish for progression to the next round, a win would seal it. Play starts at 11am at Pound Lane SL7 2AE.

Bucks made 235-7 off 20 overs with some very entertaining batting, on a rather small ground, from Worcestershire youngster Rehaan Edavalath, 89 off 57 balls, and Josh Lincoln, 81 off 28 balls. Those two put on 125 off 49 balls. Opener Billy Dodds scored 32 off 16. Wales bowler Joseph Davies nearly had a hat-trick, the fielder got a hand to the ball but couldn’t hold on.

Bucks won the first match by 132 runs. Wales made 103 all out off 13.5 overs. Haddow 3-17 off 2.5 overs, two wickets each for Hashan Rathnayake and Bertie Foreman, the latter on his return from his one month contract at Kent. Bucks took all their catches.

Second match, Bucks won the toss and elected to bat.
Bucks scored 203-5 off 20 overs, Matt Pardoe 112 n.o. off 56 balls, Rehaan Edavalath 46.

Bucks won by 24 runs, Wales all out for 179 off 19.5 overs.
A much closer match, Wales were motoring, well up with the run rate, but seven wickets in the final five overs swung it Bucks’ way. Three wickets each for Haddow, Foreman and A Dodds.
Bucks finish second and go through to the Super 12s, away at Devon with one other team, I hear.

Tomorrow, Bucks Men start their 3 day championship campaign, as holders, when they take on Staffs at Chesham CC. Sunday at Chesham is always popular with outsiders, easy to get to on the tube and, with no first class red ball cricket available until 20 August, it always draws in those seeking the longer form of the game.
An added attraction for Middlesex supporters is the inclusion in the Bucks squad of 20 year old Aaryan Sawant, a right hand batter for their 2nd XI who also bowls right hand off breaks. He has signed up for all four Bucks championship matches and was in the Middlesex team for the recent match against Bucks at Wormsley, but didn’t get a chance to bat or bowl.
Missing from the Bucks squad is opening bowler Cam Parsons, the High Wycombe CC captain. After many years as one of Bucks’ best players, it’s not clear what his future is with the county. Josh Lincoln will be playing against his brother Dan, after both played together for many years for Berks, and both are currently playing for High Wycombe.
Last season Bucks beat Staffs by a nail-biting one wicket in the three dayer at Stafford CC. Haddow took 10 wickets in the match.
There is a bar and food is available from the outside kiosk. The temperature is set to peak at 30° but there is plenty of tree shade on the football side, so bring your chair along.
Bucks Women are in action tomorrow at High Wycombe against Shropshire, in a 50 over match starting at 11am.
