Caring for the clubs supporters

Wouldn’t it be nice if the club wished it’s supporters a Happy New Year like in previous years. Also a thanks for your support in 2025. We used to get a similar message when the club cared about it’s supporters.

Maybe they’re saving it for tomorrow when it will, indeed, be New Year? But HNY to you for now and thanks for your contributions to the Gasroom.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Have you wished Rice a Happy New Year?

I support the club and spend my money because it’s my choice, I don’t do it to receive a thank you. Stop trying to find something negative to say, the best way to receive happy new years from the club is 3 points tomorrow.

I popped in there when I arrived by train for the Lincoln game. They only had two lagers on draught and the fridges were empty. Are they under new management?

What an awful things for that family. I’m glad the club are willing and able to give them space to grieve. Well done to all involved.

Yes! I did the same for Lincoln as well with similar misgivings but then went in before the Bolton game and there was a good selection of Rebellion ales.

Only downside was that there was only one bar staff on and an awful lot of thirsty Bolton supporters fresh off the train (and me)

Yes the Flint has been taken over recently, new owners have put a lot of effort in to drum up business. Prices have always been usually higher than pubs in town due to being a train station pub but has a lovely atmosphere inside. Would recommend it.

I happily stand corrected. I was feeling a bit disappointed as I couldn’t remember seeing a Christmas message. But well done to Wycombe Wanderers. I love this football club. I have done for 35 years. Happy New Year to Wycombe Wanderers and all it’s supporters.

Hardly a Christmas message if it was only posted today! And why oh why does so much get posted on X (or FB) ages before appearing on the club website! Even more puzzled as to why the first thing on the Wanderers TV page is Duff’s preview of the Burton match!!

You know the answer really don’t you.

Because they can probably give 3-4 people access to update those in seconds, and those avenues are treated as a more “live” informal and accessible method for most fans.

Whereas the website probably has fewer update merchants, takes longer to update and at times where we’re essentially in a holiday period are less easy to update.

But I suspect you knew all of this.

Genuinely didn’t, I don’t have such an understanding of these things.
