Just realised we lost the carpooling thread when the new forum began a few months ago, so I thought I’d restart it. That thread was pinned to the main forum, so hopefully that can happen again!
To start the thread, would anyone going to Northampton on Saturday be willing to pick me up from Oxford services?
I live in Oxford and I can get a bus out to the service station, but I have no way of getting to Northampton otherwise cos the usual people I go to away games with aren’t around this weekend. It basically isn’t even a detour at all if going on the M40-A43 route to Northampton, which seems to be the quickest way from Wycombe. And I promise I’m decent company as others can attest to (@ewanhoosaami@Glenactico ) , plus I can pay a share of the fuel! Cheers
Would it be an idea to arrange a bit of a ‘meet up’ one day, maybe before a home game somewhere at the ground where those ever interested in carpooling and just introduce themselves and have a burger / drink together or something? I know it might sound a bit weird, but might help people feel more comfortable with offering lifts etc? Just a thought! Maybe near this talking bench thing ive heard about?
