I’ve come across a handful of Wycombe fans across social media who purport to living in West Yorkshire. It isn’t a very useful location for regular visits to the hallowed turf at AP but, it does provide us with some decent away attendance opportunities. I am curious enough to post and wonder if many fellow chairpeople/gasroomers live in God’s country?
For reference, my lad and I live in-between Ossett and Dewsbury, a stones-throw from Wakey. And aye, we’re heading into east-Huddersfield later, for a sunny walk, up t’ginnel by stadium, for what is hopefully an evening with three overdue points!
Don’t know if Beanhead still lives up there, he was in Barnsley I believe. Not seen him for a long time. I’m sure someone said once that he was a Barnsley season ticket holder.
I lived in Leeds for the whole of the 90s. I miss the giant Yorkshire pudding filled with chips and gravy for £1.50 in The Fenton, especially on Monday lunch times when they used to chuck Sunday’s left-over roast potatoes in the deep fryer and put them in it too.
I had that smug feeling of coming in through the front door 35 minutes after the final whistle last night. We walked back up the hill and chatted with two Yorkshire Chairboys living in Leeds. Great effort from players and fans alike last night!
All my family are from Leeds, I’m a Wycombe fan as my dad was based there and I was born in Bucks. My son was born in Leeds and my daughter Bradford, both are Wycombe fans. I live in Wetherby and me and my son have season tickets, only downside is we can’t do midweek home games
Very high chance that was me! Went to uni and lived in Leeds 99 to 2006. Wore the Mizuno shirt about uni back then.
Recently moved back to West Yorkshire but could be on the move again soon.
One of my favourite Lufc memories was in the infamous Majestic nightclub when The players were having a fancy dress night out. Mark Viduka’s large presence swept me out of the way as I was attempting to walk up the stairs to the upper levels!
