Hi folks. I have a terrible hobby in that I read opposition forums when Charlton win.
I have read a lot of negative regarding you having to play Charlton, like it’s a fore gone conclusion that CAFC will win.
Please believe me when I say that CAFC are perfectly capable of playing terribly, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and generally doing badly when expected to do well.
The matches will be close I am sure and let’s hope that the winner of our ties lift the trophy at Wembley.
One silver lining to these playoffs is that I genuinely like Charlton and Orient as clubs (and don’t really mind Stockport) so we don’t have to lose to someone I dislike.
In case you are not up to speed, here is a summary of our season:
Our legendary most-capped player of league era turns out to be an excellent manager, and has us top of the league playing champagne football.
Behind the scenes, our new billionaire overlords had told him he was not wanted before a ball was kicked, but wanted a bad run of form to sack him (I assume for the “fan optics”).
He never had that bad run, but with his employees being sacked from under him and him being told he was not wanted repeatedly, he applied for any Champo jobs that came along.
After he left, we bought loads of new players (most of whom we didn’t actually need), breaking our transfer fee twice for Danes who have barely played a minute.
We remembered we needed someone to coach them, and saw a picture of Mike Dodds hugging Jude Bellingham (evidently) and did not look at how awful he was as an interim at Sunderland.
Dodds turned out to be a nice chap who believes in not just parking the bus, but buying a bus depot and placing the goal carefully exactly behind it.
We go from smashing teams to 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 and 1-1s for most of the rest of the season.
Somehow we play you with it still in our own hands. Spoiler: None of the scorelines above came into play.
We lose our final two games to the other two playoff teams, just in case Orient or Stockport are struggling for any confidence too.
On top of all this, our fanbase is divided because some know how badly our club legend was treated (it goes way beyond the summary above) whereas others think he deserted us.
Hopefully you can see why our gruntle has been so thoroughly dissed!
you will smash us…we have a tactically inept manager who has lost the fan base , players who want the world to revolve around them who are not good enough, put us out of our misery
In the sultry summer of 2024, Georgian billionaire Mikhail Lomtadze bought a faltering football club, steering it toward elegant collapse. Rivals laughed, unaware it was his ploy. Beneath the ashes, he forged a war machine—coaches from Carthage, strikers from forgotten empires. As spring thawed, the club rose, a fury cloaked in silk. Come playoff final at Wembley, the gates of a thousand kingdoms opened. Thunder roared. Steel clashed. Lomtadze’s legion triumphed, ascending amid awe and ruin, his enemies crumbling under the weight of their own misjudgment. The masterstroke was not victory—but making them believe he’d never wanted it.
Don’t think fans are divided I know Bloomfield wasn’t treated well , i’ve heard various info from the club and Bloomfield side. It’s not as simple as saying it’s two views think everyone agrees Bloomfield should have been supported . My personal opinion is he should have stayed to the end of the season as do many of the players . Lots of bad stuff going on in the background don’t think the data approach is the way forward and the ownership group are not covering themselves in glory . My main concern is the owner has had nothing to do with the club everyone blames Dan but his strings are obviously being pulled by the owner.
Yes, the ownership group have been too quiet, but it doesn’t help when fans continue to regurgitate conspiracy theories as fact. We’re in the play-offs - let’s put it to bed and help the lads get the job done.
We are so convinced our season is over we still don’t have a thread about our Playoff games against your good selves even though they were confirmed two days ago.
That’s all you need to know about what will happen on Sunday and Thursday next week.
