You can see the latest few posts (but not threaded posts or replies) in the club X feed, without signing up/in to X, if you have ideological qualms about supporting Elon. Also works for match highlights and Doddsy’s post-match wisdom.
Just search e.g. wwfc official twitter in Google. Useful to get the line-up at 1.45pm/6.30 pm, and chance and goal updates during games.
I’ve been doing this for a few years now while ‘working’ on matchdays. It used to be quite exciting, hopefully will get back up there one day soon. I run a parallel scan for alan swann peterborough, which is quite entertaining recently.
Seems a bit of an unnecessary dig. I would argue Twitter post-Musk is anything but consequential (and if it is, not the consequences I want to put my name against). No idea why that means I shouldn’t be able to get news from the football team I support though.
All it really means is that I get the info elsewhere- BBC, SkySports etc. Which maybe the club dont care about - fair enough if so.
And none of this is a dig at the media team - Matt does a wonderful job.
To be fair, I do get a notification with the team sheet but it only arrives around 20 mins before the game and by that time, its already on all of the websites, social media etc
I’m told you can’t schedule posts in there so have to manually post everything, and team news/full-time announcements are generally pretty busy periods so it can get missed off
Do you know why the club no longer post Extended Highlights on the Wanderers TV. It’s one of my favourite things to watch, especially when we win. I also think it encourages supporters to attend matches, having watched the best bits in around 10 minutes of highlights.
There is a small group of us active on BlueSky around WWFC. I wish the club would still post there as well, but for now I’ve created a bot that automatically posts news articles and YouTube videos when they are posted which hopefully helps!
Would be great if more people joined us there as well.
I know blue sky is an attempt to overthrow Twitter, but for those that really can’t be bothered with another account, another app, another password, another feed of the same stuff, can’t this be on Twitter too?
I’m sure blue sky is great, but it’s got a long way to go, everything I and many others need is already established on Twitter.
